Item A MEASURE OF MOTIVATION LEVEL OF STUDENTS OF AVIATION MANAGEMENT DEGREE IN UMT.(UMT, Lahore, 2020) SYEDA DUA ABBAS, SYEDA QURATULAIN and BAKHTAWAR NAVEEDThe issue of demotivation and the students getting detracted and mislead during their academic tenure is causing a serious problem in the education sector. The educational institutes, the parents and the students themselves should stay optimistic and truly realistic. The main reason to step ahead and conduct a relative research in this scenario is to find and explore the ways and time periods where the students encounter various misleading and demotivating information and conversations. With the help of this comprehensive research we will be able to identify how we can make those cracks filled up and how to verbally and practically induce optimism in students. This project illustrates the different methods we can use to promote confidence and faith in the students, and this helps us better understand how we can mitigate the sources which lead down the students towards being uninspired. Whereas, we are also being able to understand the whole concept of demotivation of students throughout their academic period, the main area that we are focusing over here is for specifically the students at Institute of Aviation Sciences. The students in the Aviation Department undergo various mental and emotional ups and downs, the fact that this field of study has been offered recently in our country for civil outreach, several people are still uninformed and misguided as well. The other programs and fields of study are quite known and are to be understood as the best choice of education and career path but the aviation sector is highly reputed but only a few are courageous and high hoped enough to step in and choose aviation to be their career path. However, being highly reputable and dignified the aviation students undergo lack of guidance towards practical environment which results in reduced levels of motivation and the current aviation industry growth in our country results the same on the students’ mental health. The objective of this research project is to optimize learning process, update learning and teaching process, improve educational standards, introduce practical exploration of the industry and hence result in improvement of commitment and motivation level of a student towards their career and education. The method that has been used is to perform experiments and various observations on individual and multiple students collectively. The goal was to get as much accurate results as we can so we can clearly sort out the problems and the areas where we are lacking as a department, and as clear we will be towards the root cause of the problem the better we will be able to correct the problem itself. The results that have been generated is that the students need specific help and knowledge according to each step of their academic duration. The students should be helped term by term and according to their needs so we can sustain determination of the students. We are working and utilizing all sources to help and cater such individuals who can learn and grow strong to serve the country’s aviation industry and bring it back to glory and successfully compete with the world.Item A Study of Muzaffarabad Airport An Analysis of small airport planning and development(UMT, Lahore, 2020) Urooj Arshad, Raja Muhammad Osama, Fasih Khan, Sabeen Mir, Merab Saleem, Hamza Shafqat and Saman AbbasAirports help to connect geographically handicapped regions with the economic heart of the country. Air-travel not only provides connectivity but also provides accessibility, comfort, reliability and catalytic influence; in terms of tourism. Smaller airports are often not financially viable when made for the sole purpose of tourism and highly susceptible to the competition posed by ground transport means. Planning decisions for air-transport, such as making a new Greenfield or brownfield airport or extension of runways takes years and years of planning. Airports for their growth rely on the economic productivity of an area, tourism potential, industrial activity etc. But often economic developments are considered to be dependent on air travel alone often this leads to infrastructural white elephants. Airports like other industries and businesses and must run with a clear purpose of inclusive growth. With the collective approach from all stakeholders, creating distinction through branding and estimating target segment, smaller airports could be made a viable profit-earning entity instead of a liability. Keywords: analysis, small airports, development, economy, growth, planning, tourism, muzaffarafabadItem Analysis of Activity Based Learning on Airport Fundamentals & Aviation Career Development(UMT, Lahore, 2020) Faris, Sarfraz Ahmad and Muhammad Muazzam KhanThe purpose of this research was to examine the consequences of activity based learning and traditional method of learning on scholars. And measure the quality of services is more important to every airline to increase its revenue and customer loyalty with the airline (Chen, 2010). Service quality only measures to determine the efficiency, competitiveness, and growth for every airline in the world (Lin & Wu, 2011). Firstly, the team is using the methodology of the survey-based research method on the randomly selected passengers of Pakistan International Airlines & Airblue at Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore. The methodology of survey-based is used because according to kinkpe CVA the survey methodology has the capacity of getting information from larger samples used to get a smaller sample size from a large population and used it to research and make generalizability on a larger population (Investopedia, 2020). The purpose of this study is to compare the passenger’s satisfaction level about cabin service quality, relevant to service quality dimensions (Tangibility and Empathy). These two-dimension elements have a significant impact on passenger satisfaction level about cabin service quality. After analyses, the results, elements under tangibility, and empathy show a positive tendency toward PIA and the negative tendency toward Airblue (travel I. , 2019). During the comparison of cabin service quality of PIA and Airblue, at some points, we got to see a huge difference between the elements and at some points very close differences between the elements. Customer satisfaction is the overall customer attitude toward a service provider (O. C. Hansemark and M. Albinsson, 2004). Passengers of PIA showed a positive tendency on each element as compare to Airblue while on the other hand passengers of Airblue showed a negative tendency on elements as compared to PIA passengers showed a high satisfaction level as compare to Airblue. We compared two different airline cabin services quality under tangibility and empathy, further research may be enhanced using other dimensions of service quality. As most of the elements of cabin service quality show a negative tendency toward Airblue, it should enhance their service quality looking at the market competition to satisfy the customers. The survey should be done by random sampling not by the snowfall sampling but due to Covid-19 we had to depend on it. As we have done a lot of work on it. We think there is maybe some more work that can be done if someone wants to survey the same research with different dimensions.Item Causes of Hyderabad Airport under Utilization and its Market Need Survey Analysis(UMT, Lahore, 2020) Roshan Akhtar, Nadeem Majeed, Hassan Mehmood and Muhammad SkindarIn the first part of this study we will describe the CAUSES OF HYDERABAD AIRPORT UNDER UTILIZATION. The airport can increase connectivity in some key areas where it is most needed, such as route planning, baggage handling, security checks, boarding chairs, and the transition of passengers with disabilities from the airport to the carrier. As the population of travelers grows, so does the number of passengers with disabilities. A baggage labelling and scanning system is extremely important for people with disabilities, who require extra attention to their luggage as well as any medical equipment they may be carrying while travelling. The controlled access system should be more incentivize than it is now, so that persons with disabilities may feel as comfortable as possible when checking in. There should be special attention and a different approach to inspect those individuals so that normal passengers do not experience delays or discomfort while flyingItem Comparative Analysis on impact of GHRM practices between AIIAP and Islamabad International Airport(UMT, Lahore, 2020) AYESHA ALI. The shock absorber basically dampens the impact energy caused by an obstacle or a pithole. Shock absorber are used in a number of transportation vehicles including aircrafts to provide maximum comfort to the passengers. As the shock absorber are subjected to a number of cyclic loads spontaneous maintenance is required for proper working of the shock damper itself. Improper working of the shock damper due to any reason can prove to be quite fatal for the complete machinery. For proper working of the shock absorber a variable known as damping coefficient is determined. For the determination of the damping coefficient a mechanical test rig is designed and manufactured to perform the analysis on the relative shock damper. The mechanical test rig is used to provide a linear motion to the shock damper to conduct further analysis. The mechanical test rig will be further connected to a number of electronic circuits which is basically summed up as a data acquisition system. The data acquisition system will control the mechanical test rig and after several inputs by the user the damping coefficient will be deduced at the end by general mathematical equations. The values obtained from the analysis will be used in the equation for results. The basic need to design such a test rig is to compare the known and current values of the damping coefficient for the shock to be tested.Item DEVELOPMENT OF EDUCATIONAL SOFTWARE FOR THE STUDENTS OF GLOBAL AIRLINE MANAGEMENT(UMT, Lahore, 2020) Uzair Abdul Gani Hassan FarazThis research is about developing educational software for the students of Global Airline Management.
