After this approval, the British Aviation Authority was the first one who privatized their major airports for capital funding and the efficiency improvement. Some of the states and local government faced major problems of finance for the management of airports, after the introduction of the policy of privatization, they started work on it, and used the assets of airports to generate more revenue and use it for the purposes of airports. After the British Aviation Authority, the airport authority of the other major countries like United States of America, Brazil, France and New Zealand started to privatize their airports on different models of privatization, to better management of the assets of their airports. In this era the air transportation made a common mean of travelling from one place to another, the technology advancement of aircraft, the globalization and other factors increasing the air travel of people day by day. To meet the increasing that demand of air travel, there is a huge need of effective management on the airports, because without the airports the air travel would not be possible. Initially the focus of the research of this final project, is on the background of privatization in worldwide, since its introduction, the example of different airports and the problems which occurred after the privatization are discussed. After that the detail discussion done on the structure of airport privatization, which include the evaluation of different models of airport privatization. At the ending phase the focus of research is shift to the global trends of privatization which include the details of different airports which are recently privatizedItem Airport Waste minimization Strategic plan and Implementation(University of Management and Technology, 2018) Muhammad Sarmad Imran; Muhammad Zeeshan AzharThere is multiple waste sources present at airport. These waste can be reduce through proper planning and identification of sources. Proper understanding of waste mitigation should be necessary. If this plan is properly implemented and supervise, positive result can come out which will be effective and through this general public, community and passenger health issues can be reduce in a precise manner. Furthermore, airport waste will also reduce.Item The Airships(University of Management and Technology Lahore, 2017) Bano, ArjumandAirships are poorly understood and very ancient aircraft. It uses buoyant gas usually helium to lift its structure. They have been around from the time 1852 but their commercial use was in 1920’s and 1930’s. Today they are performing limited roles such as scientific research and advertising. Once they were used for heavy cargo transportation, survey and in anti-submarine war. Most famous of them were rigid airships used as flying aircraft carriers, heavy bombing and also for luxurious transportation. They become atool of terror by 1915 and after Great War they were used as transportation for wealthy passengers. After the crash of Hindenburg in 1973 people considered airships unsafe. Now they become seen as old technology. The project is structured in 17 Chapters. Introduction, History, The interwar period, Airship Biographies, Terminology, Classification, Construction, Modern Airships, Current design projects, comparison with heavier than air aircraft, Safety, passenger experience, Airship travel Brochure, Famous flights, The Hindenburg disaster, The Hindenburg film, Karachi’s airship hanger and at the end conclusion.Item Analysis of Aviation Accidents using 5M model(University of Management & Technology, 2018) Muhammad Moazzam Ahsan; Usama Tariq; Nabeel Asad; Ashar ZaidiThis report covers the analysis of aviation accidents based on 5M model of aviation safety. Airlines are the backbone of any aviation sector with in the industry. One of the most important thing is that aviation has a high volume of investment business but the margin of profitability is kind of very low. Due to the high volume of investment in airlines business, low margin of profit can be compensated.Item Application and optimization of passeneger facilities at allama iqbal international airport(University of Management and Technology Lahore, 2017) Iftikhar, SaniaThe motto of this report was to highlight the pros and cons of Allama iqbal international airport facilities. What type of passengers travel by AIIAPP an how they find airport was discovered through. Research questionnaire is also conducted to check the feedback of passengers. Airport visit highlighted some major issues that are disused in detail. Passenger perceptions are also debated. Recommendations for better airport facility management are also stated. This research was conducted to make people know that no doubt there are several lop wholes in management of AIIAPP but it can be altered through various techniques.Item Automated facilities at the airports and passenger preferences(University of Management and Technology Lahore, 2016) Alam, Rana Muhammad Faiq; Zafar, RizwanWe believe that true excellence comes from quality and not from quantity. So for that reason this project report has been written in mind keeping the passenger facilitation in mind and comparing the international practices to Pakistan’s scenario. We reviewed the already available literature on the web and then worked to prove the significance according to the managerial and academic contributions it will make. Process diagrams and flowcharts are illustrated which compare the passenger’s facilitation process between Allama Iqbal International Airport and Dubai International Airport. Elements of facilitation at airports in regards to passenger facilitation were explored and opinions from passengers were taken through surveys conducted at AllamaIqbal International Airport Lahore. The survey data was entered into SPSS and we derived plausible results from it. This report describes the passenger facilitation in respect to passenger perception with the various ways in which the discussions and conclusions, once implemented, will be able to monitor control and improve passenger facilitation process at Pakistan’s Airports.Item Aviation security Vs. Passenger Facilitation(University of Management & Technology, 2018) Zainab AshrafAirports are the gateway of a country. Aviation is a big industry and the aim of this industry is to provide air transportation services to the travelers who want to save their time by travelling fast in an aircraft. Airport is the platform from where operators provide these services. Like every other asset, their security must be high in order to deter bad elements from miss-using this platform. But the facilitation of the passengers who are already there to save their time and are paying high for that should also be considered. The equilibrium between security and facilitation is a very interesting topic for research purposes.Item Concept of Ideal Low Cost Carrier and improvement in operations at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Pakistan.(University of Management and Technolog, 2017) Shahrukh Arshad; Ahmed Rabi; Umer TahirIn our project we have drafted some of the finest ways to launch a theoretical airline. A low cost airline will be serving the niche market of Pakistan. The airline's ideal socio-economic routes are discussed which will yield profit for the airline. Rough estimation of the fuel used, fleet, offerings and other critical aspects are discussed. One more aspect of this airline that we emphasized on is automation and how it helps in the aviation industry while keeping an eye out for its challenges. This automation is further extended to the airport and its infrastructure by installing state of the art equipment like RFID and self-document authentication along with other practices of automation are briefed over. What is there to be done for improvement? Specifically we targeted AllamaIqbal International Airport for our project since the airline we will launch will have its headquarters based in Lahore this all is done under the umbrella of N.A.P policy which provides the ground for these developments.Item Controversies among aviation pioneers(University of Management and Technology Lahore, 2017) Sameera WarisAviation was a dream: A dream and feelings of human that are the stimulus effect of the nature like bird flying which forces them to ponder that how man can soar into the air. And that has been diffused into their culture and portrayed through the myth and stories of the time which imitates the yearning of human to reach the air and that craving was so passionate and concentrated that they had fantasies the stories of man with wing flying in the air and how the objects can be premeditated that can take a person in the air. All those fabricated stories somehow delivered the idea of wings and flying crafts. The main ambition of this practicum is to research on the controversies among aviation pioneers and their exertions and influences in the field with special interaction between Aviation Pioneers of the ancient era from around 1780's to 19th century. The problem statement relies on that how does the inventions and contribution of Aviation Pioneers lead to the skirmishes and controversies among them and countries.Item The correlation between Human Physiology and Advancement of Technology in Aviation(University of Management and Technolog, 2017) Numra MirAs we all know the growth of advance in technology helped aviation to flourish in the world transporting people from one place to other with the efficient and safest means in the early 1970 to late 90s. It helped pilots to maintain a more precise and accurate view of flight dynamics onboard lowering the risks of human error that contributed to major accidents in aviation resulting the loss of lives but this explains one side of the story. The purpose of me to undertake this study is to highlight the unanticipated issues that arises due the non-correlation of human physiology because of the fast pace advancement of technology in aviation. The latter half of the study will discuss the details of human physiology and its limitations that were taken into consideration initially before designing and implementing the new parameters that proved to be successful in the evolutionary era up to a certain level of technology changes. However, the next half of the project will highlight the important preview of automation phases and the unanticipated issue establishing the fact that increasing automation up to a certain level in aviation industry doesn't contribute to any significant growth in safety and efficiency anddoesn't relate with the human philology as it has failed to create a fit between man and machinery interaction. The conclusion will discuss the relatable cockpit interface and training and safety solutions to prevent these issue and promoting the active status of humans rather than supervisory role.Item The correlation between Human Physiology with Advancement of Technology in Aviation(University of Management and Technolog, 2018) Numra MirAs we all know the growth of advance in technology helped aviation to flourish in the world transporting people from one place to other with the efficient and safest means in the early 1970 to late 90s.
