Item A research thesis survey of classroom assessment practices of teachers at primary school level in tehsil pind dadan khan district jhelum punjab Pakistan(UMT Lahore, 2022) GHULAM UL HASSANThis study was conducted to evaluate the teaching assessment practices of public primary schools’ teachers in Tehsil Pind Dadan Khan District Jhelum Punjab Pakistan. The Classroom Assessment Practices and Skills (CAPS) questionnaire was used to collect data from 89 primary teachers of Tehsil Pind Dadan Khan. The study inquired how much teachers are agreed and have a consensus with the factors regarding “Beliefs on assessment” and to what extent these factors are related and what are the areas of assessment and evaluation in which teachers believe that they are capable, skillful and expert. Also, what are the areas of assessment and evaluation about which teachers believe that they mostly use in the classroom. The findings concluded that mostly teachers were agreed with the sufficiency of trainings and felt the need of more trainings. Also, it was found that mostly teachers say that assessment is for the improvement in students learning. Results also determined that mostly teachers use old traditional assessment skills and they mostly use those skills about which they think they are skilled. The study suggests more training and workshops to give knowledge about assessment as well as skills to be applied in practical classroom so that teachers can enhance students learning.Item Experience and expectations of B.Ed. Hons students in the public and private universities of Lahore(UMT Lahore, 2022) Tajwer NasirThe purpose of the study was to explore experiences and expectations of B.Ed (Hons.) Students in the public and private universities of Lahore. The paradigm of the study was positivistic. The views of students were evidences for their experiences and expectations, so quantitative research method were more appropriate for conducting this study. A sample of four hundred students was selected randomly from four universities, two hundred from the public and two hundred from private universities of district Lahore, out of which one hundred students were male and one hundred were female students. A self-developed questionnaire was used as instrument for collecting information from students. The questionnaire used in this study was developed by researcher with help of supervisor. The questionnaire was divided into two parts. First part includes demographic information. The demographical information included in the questionnaire was gender, age, semester, CGPA, faculty, marital status and job status. The second part of the questionnaire included 70 statements to capture students’ responses. For the validation of the instrument three research expert validate the instrument. The reliability coefficient of instrument was determined by calculating Cronbach Alpha Reliability Coefficient. Cronbach Alpha for time management scale was (α= .865). Descriptive statistics, i.e., Mean, Standard Deviation and Frequency Distribution used for the description of the data. Inferential statistics, i.e., Independent Sample t-test and ANOVA used for the analysis of data for comparison of four universities. Paired samples t-test was conducted to find out the difference between experiences and expectations of B.Ed. (Hons.) students at the public and private universities of Lahore. Further paired samples t-test was conducted find out the difference between expectations and experiences of B.Ed. (Hons.) elementary student at the public and private universities of Lahore. The findings of the study are based on issues in which there is statistically significant difference in experiences and expectations i.e. The university orientation programs helped them to take a good start, they are satisfied with the variety of courses offered in my program, they are aware of my fee breakdown, Faculty members are enthusiastic about the subjects they teach, they are tending to mix with other students at university, Faculty asks challenging questions in class.Item Outcomes of collaboration through teamwork during coursework(UMT Lahore, 2022) Mahera HashmiA qualitative research was conducted on outcomes of collaboration through teamwork during coursework: perspectives of students in higher education with an objective of understanding the underlying dynamics and student’s perspectives. The basic premise of the study was to understand the outcomes of the collaborative methodological programs and highlight related perspectives of students. Examining the underlying mechanism of collaborative learning at its best requires gathering opinions and experiences of those who are part of the process. Indigenous researches are scarce in this area and therefore an exploratory research is required. Future researches might incorporate mix method approach for better generalization. Thematic analysis has been the first choice to understand the context before understanding individual experiences via IPA. In the modern world, literacy is of foremost importance towards progression of a country. The study was designed in indigenous context to analyze the underlying interacting and comorbid factors that can change the impact of collaborative learning process primarily in higher education. The targeted population for the study was student’s enrolled in a bachelor’s program in HEC recognized university. The data analysis yielded seven themes including perception of students, experiences, prerequisites, strategic framework, critical evaluation, and feedback. The study concluded that the student’s understood the importance of group work and its implications in future practical life. Group formulation and dimensions were emphasized along with a vital role of instructor’s transparency. The students have mixed experiences and based on that preferences and opinions related to group work were developed. The students having bad experiences also promoted group work collaborations, understanding its efficacy whilst the potential concerns. It was concluded that a new prospect emerged in collaborative programs is an inclination towards leadership styles. The researcher used two tools to collect data which were adapted. The first tool was to measure emotional intelligence of the students and the second one was used to measure their social adjustment. These tools were initially developed by McKinney (2019). The data revealed that a significant positive relationship exists between emotional intelligence, social adjustments, and academic performance. The study has implications for higher education institution to focus more on developing emotional intelligence and give opportunities for social adjustments to diverse student body so that they perform well academically.Item Teachers Information and Communication Technology (ICT) skills and integration in hearing impairment at secondary level(UMT Lahore, 2022) MAMOONA IQBALThe current exploratory study investigates the Teachers‟ Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Skills and Integration in Hearing Impairment at Secondary Level. The introduction of information and communication technologies (ICT) into special education has been a major priority in higher secondary school. The study involved the collection of Quantitative data, which include special education teachers‟ personal information, their frequently of using computers, perceptions of their ICT skills and self-efficiency toward ICT in teaching. Quantitative research design was adopted by the researchers for the study where the teachers of special government Secondary institutes were considered as population. The latest educational policy of the Government of Pakistan has stressed on using ICT in special education institutes. The curriculum documents have also suggested teachers to integration ICT in their classrooms teaching and learning processes. The study finds that teachers have access to computers in schools and at home and they use computer for different purposes, such as, entertainment, communication, and education. There have special government secondary institutes and the size of the population is almost 200 special education teachers. This study is quantitative, and the type of research is descriptive. Embedded in the quantitative paradigm, Survey research was used to explore research question. The study adopts a quantitative technique and subsequently, questionnaires were disseminated to the teachers. In order to get the essential information of the research, questionnaire method has been used. Primary data are collected by the researcher through Self-Administrative Questionnaire from the teachers. Most of the special education teachers strongly agreed that ICTs are essential for enhancing the process of teaching-learning in the special education institutions. The focus of this paper is on effectiveness of ICT integration in special education for Hearing impaired children. More specifically, this paper aims at identifying the level of computer skills and knowledge of secondary school teachers in the teaching and learning process. Moreover, the objective of this paper is to identify the level of ICT integration in teaching and learning process in classroom by secondary school teachers of special education for Hearing Impaired children.Item Teacher burnout, causes, and preventive strategies at the intermediate level(UMT Lahore, 2022) Mahnoor IrfanIn the field of education, teacher burnout is a real concern. The purpose of this study is to find out the teachers’ burnout. This study was based on a quantitative research method. The population was all teachers of public and private colleges in Lahore. By convenient sampling technique, the researcher collected the data through a questionnaire. The sample consisted of teachers from all public and private colleges, totaling 200 teachers. The questionnaire was self-developed by the researcher. It contains 4 parts: 1) Demographic variables, 2) Teachers’ Burnout Factored as Exhaustion, Job-Related Stress, Detachment, Ineffectiveness, 3) Causes of Burnout, and 4) Preventive Strategies of Burnout. The questionnaire was designed on a Likert scale consisting of 40 items. The results of the SPSS analysis were carried out to find out the teachers’ burnout. In their line of work, teachers deal with a lot of tension and overload. The researcher used descriptive analysis, t-test, and one-way ANOVA. The results indicate that burnout spreads all over the world and expands rapidly. The findings highlight that demographic variables vary among teachers. The finding of this study is that teachers are highly victims of burnout, which leads to stress and low performance, suggesting that organizations might make teachers feel uncomfortable in their jobs, causing stress. These findings may be utilized to design successful solutions for preventing and managing burnout and also to make colleges safer, pleasant, and comfortable for teachers.Item Effects of teacher's professional development on the teacher's instructional practices in special education(UMT Lahore, 2022) Amna JahangirThe study was performed to see the effect of Teachers' Professional Development on the Teacher's Instructional Practices in Special Education. The aims of this research include studying the use of special education teacher instructional practices in schools and studying the influence on the usage of education practices by professional development instructors. The quantitative research methodology was used to answer the research questions. The self-developed questionnaires with Likert scale from strongly disagree to strongly agree was utilized for data collection in this research. The majority of the respondents were from Lahore Division with experience of 3 years. Out of 205, majorities of the respondents who had completed teacher education and training had attended 1-2 training. The research found that there was no significant difference in the viewpoint of respondents on the basis of their division about the impacts of teachers' professional development on the teachers' instructional practices in special education. There is a considerable difference in the opinion of respondents regarding student-oriented practices as compared to organized practice. The correlation test indicates a reduced significant value (0.017) which is proof that with the rise of Professional development, the instructional practices become enhanced in special education. It was determined that gender was influenced by the usage of instructional practices in the classroom, but experience and qualification had no effect. Moreover, this research was intended to identify the effect of teachers' professional development on the teacher's instructional practices in special education. Studies should be directed to know the effect of these instructional practices on students' learning as well.Item Perceived effectiveness of parents and teachers about online teaching mode for students with intellectual disability(UMT Lahore, 2022) Arslan Akhtar KhanThe purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of online education for students with intellectual impairments from the perspectives of parents and instructors. With the COVID-19 outbreak, online education has become the new standard in education, especially special education. However, it is uncertain if this kind of instruction is successful for students with intellectual disabilities, as well as how parents and teachers see it. The study employed a quantitative approach and used convenience sampling to gather data from 400 participants, including parents and teachers of intellectually disabled children. The study included questions about the participants' demographics, experience with online teaching, perceptions of its effectiveness, and the challenges they faced. The sample was based on the teachers and parents of intellectually disabled students at private schools of special education in Lahore, Punjab. This study examined the perceived effectiveness of parents and teachers in utilizing online teaching mode for students with intellectual disabilities. The findings revealed that parents found the online teaching mode to be user-friendly in achieving individualized Education Program (IEP) goals at home. They believed that the online mode facilitated learning and had a positive impact on students' intellectual disabilities, helping them retain attention without diversion. Additionally, parents perceived that online teaching mode effectively developed interest in learning and home-based activities for their children. However, parents faced challenges in arranging supplementary aids, spending additional time on indoor activities, and dealing with financial pressures for internet facilities. On the other hand, teachers recognized the benefits of online education for students with intellectual disabilities, as it allowed them to learn at their own pace. Nevertheless, teachers also found online teaching to be time-consuming and requiring extra effort to effectively educate students with intellectual impairments. Implementation of the online teaching mode was considered challenging, and coordination with families and accessing technical support and resources were identified as difficulties. Despite these challenges, teachers acknowledged the favorable influence of online teaching mode on the learning of students with intellectual disabilities. This study highlights the need for further research to understand the efficacy of online teaching for students with intellectual disabilities. It emphasizes the importance of larger and more diverse samples, objective measures of learning outcomes, and the development of evidence-based guidelines. Government support is necessary to ensure equitable access and provide resources for effective online instruction.Item Effects of internally displaced persons’ (IDP’S) issues on the academic achievements of federally administrative area (FATA) students in army public schools (APS) a case study(UMT Lahore, 2022) Nadia JafferyThe purpose of the multiple case study is to explore the effect of IDP’s (internally displaced children) challenges on the academic achievement of FATA students. The data is collected from multiple sources i.e. teachers and students, semi-structured interviews, field notes observations, and academic results from the schools. The interviews are conducted in Pashto and translated in English. The findings reveal the socio-cultural, lingual, and cognitive challenges of war-affected children after 9/11 war on terror. The results show turmoil migration, drone attacks, kidnapping, social cohesion, lingual barriers, religious divide, academic decline, cultural shock, and gender disparity as the major issues affecting the academic of these IDPs. The study also reveals the difference of curriculum handling and teachers training in schools to meet the learning needs of children studying in mainstream schools. There is a need for extensive research on the topic of IDPs issues in relation to children rights, before a policy decision can be made in this respect.Item Factors influencing parents’ perception about employment of students with intellectual impairment(UMT Lahore, 2022) SANA ZULFIQARThis study investigated the complex interaction of factors that influence parents' perceptions about the employment of students with intellectual impairment. The objectives of the study were to explore the perception of parents about employment, highlight the parents’ perceived barriers that students with intellectual impairment may face before and during their employment, and explain the role of the state in providing employment opportunities to students with intellectual impairment. The sample of 15 parents of children with intellectual impairment was selected using purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis for the interpretation of codes. The findings revealed that limited knowledge of jobs, skill deficiency, health issues related to disability, temperamental issues, poor attention span, poor communication skills, and the need for constant support may affect the job opportunities and performance of students with intellectual impairment. Multiple hurdles, including a small social circle, absence of sheltered workshops, lack of employment training, and inability to secure a full-time position, pose real challenges for these students. Parents also shared that their children, especially females, may face bullying in the workplace. They claimed that the state should provide a fixed quota for employment, arrange permanent sheltered workshops, ensure the availability of workplaces in nearby areas, specify disabilities on disability cards, and penalize private organizations that do not employ students with intellectual impairment. The study recommends that future researchers conduct studies on a larger scale and interview potential employers and government stakeholders to enhance employment opportunities for students with intellectual impairment.Item Effectiveness of classroom management strategies in reducing learning anxiety of secondary level students(UMT Lahore, 2022) NOOR FATIMAThe main purpose of this study was to find the effect of classroom management strategies reducing learning anxiety of students in public school of Lahore. This study was descriptive type and quantitative in nature. The adopted questionnaire turned into use to accumulate data with the aid of random sampling of secondary faculties in Lahore. The researcher personally visits the respondents and explain about the questions. The data was analyze by using SPSS (statistical package for social sciences). The researcher used t-test compare mean statistics for teachers’ classroom management strategies, between gender i.e females and males’ participants. The correlation used to find the classroom management strategies and students learning anxiety. One-way ANOVA used for to explain classroom management strategies with regard to age groups. The study concluded that the classroom management strategies positively associated with student learning anxiety.Item The impact of teacher’s motivation on student-teacher interaction in private schools at secondary level(UMT Lahore, 2022) BIRRA ASLAMThis quantitative research study explored the impact of teachers' motivation on student-teacher interaction. The study was based on three motivational factors (need for achievement, power, and affiliation) of McClelland’s motivational theory and these motivators reflected the teacher’s motivation. This framework developed an understanding from which the perspectives of teachers’ motivation positively impact student-teacher interaction. The study focused on gathering information and understanding from the viewpoint of 300 privet sector female teachers from various privet schools in district Lahore (Township and Wapda town). For this purpose, convenience sampling technique is used to collect data. The quantitative data converged to answer the research questions and reach a conclusion. Interpretation and analysis of the quantitative data suggested that most teachers are qualified but there is a lack of teacher motivation present. There is a strong relationship between the factors of achievement motive as compared to affiliation and power motives of McClelland’s theory. This research study is valid only in one geographical region (Lahore) and also it brings up experiences of only female teachers. This study gives recommendations to teachers, scholars and administration about improving quality of management that fulfils satisfaction level of all teachers, privet sector should take initiative about personal performance of teachers and achievement motive has a very strong relationship with student-teacher interaction. Future studies should explore government should take responsibility for implementing policies regarding teachers’ motivation which is highly affected by student-teacher interaction. There should be policy making team hired by government.Item Quality of E-learning in private secondary schools of Lahore(UMT Lahore, 2022) Maria BanoE-learning is proved towards international education as a platform and the major way of getting an education in Higher Education. Because web-based learning is such a demanding subject right now, thanks to the pandemic, there is a pressing need to establish a common vocabulary in order to go forward in a collectively beneficial way in terms of the development of an E-learning culture of quality. The research problem of the study was to know the perspective of the students regarding the E-learning and their satisfaction with it. There were three main goals of this research. Depending on the study’s objective, total of four research questions were constructed. The methodology and research approach, which was a survey-based quantitative method, was utilized for the study. The main idea of these studies was to investigate students’ views of E-learning quality in relation to student satisfaction using a quantitative survey methodology with ANOVA and open sample t-test. There were 260 students in this study’s sample population. The finding of the study has shown that validation is one of several aspects that assist in the enhancement of E-learning reliability. Empathy of a teacher towards their students so they can understand them in better availability of the material and the teaching process, The quality of learning material, which was being used to teach, the student’s delivery and methods in the adopted by the teachers and the quality of a learning management system. All of these seven common factors are playing huge role in improving the E-learning and satisfying the students. Still the satisfactions levels of male students were more satisfied than the females in terms of the quality of E-learning. So, it can be concluded that equality of E-learning which is being provided to the students is very good or their satisfaction level is also better. Recommendations were also given in the final chapter for bring changes.Item Challenges in transition from school to work for students with intellectual disability(UMT Lahore, 2022) SADIA BILALCurrent mix method study was conducted to investigate the challenges in transition of students with intellectual disability from school to work. Purposely, vocational teachers and class teachers were selected for the exploration of related information. The objectives of the study were to investigate the special educationists and the vocational trainers about the quality and challenges of curriculum and vocational training programs for transition process. The researchers developed two self-constructed instruments with the help of literature and field experience. The study was conducted in two districts of Punjab, Sahiwal and Lahore. Sample of 148 class teachers and vocational trainers were selected through purposive sampling, from all public institutes dealing students with intellectual disability. Pilot testing was done with 10 professionals. The data was analyzed by two different methods; one is common theme interpretation that is qualitative part of questionnaire and other is analyzed by SPSS software. In SPSS, the frequency, percentage, t-test, ANOVA and correlation were run and interpreted in findings. The main findings were that there was lack of resources and attention from society and parents for transition of intellectual disabled students. There were limited resources and lack of trained teachers like a single teacher deals as curriculum teacher as well as vocational teacher. The resources were so limited that the proper learning process is not done. It was found that the parents’ demands and expectations from the schools were very different as compared to the school’s planning; consequently, teachers faced difficulty to convince and work with intellectually disabled students. The study recommended that the government should pay attention to needs of intellectual students for transition from school to work with ease and give a plan according to demand of society and resources. There must be rules and policies for transition of intellectually disabled students so that the process of transition is done in a positive and resultant way. The major conclusion is that the intellectually disabled students are not prepared for transition and there are many challenges which have to be faced. The study recommends that another study be done to investigate the policy and rules from government to facilitate the transition of intellectually disabled students and special need students from school to work.Item A study of relationship between teachers burnout and their self-efficacy at secondary school level(UMT Lahore, 2022) AYESHA YAQOOBThe relationship between teacher self-efficacy and burnout is one of the most important aspects that this study needed to investigate. 200 teachers from various public and private secondary schools in Lahore participated. According to the investigation findings, there is a moderate to negative correlation between the instructors' levels of burnout and their perceptions of their efficacy. The researcher used a quantitative research method. The aim of the study was: 1) to identify the perceived level of teachers’ burnout, 2) to identify the perceived level of teachers’ self-efficacy, 3) to examine the relationship between teachers’ burnout and teachers’ self-efficacy, and 4) to examine the role of demographic variables in teachers’ burnout and teachers’ self-efficacy. This descriptive study analyzed teachers’ burnout and teachers’ self-efficacy through a quantitative research method. The sample consisted of teachers from all public and private schools, totaling 200 teachers. A questionnaire designed on a Likert scale consisting of 71 items was used. The results of the SPSS analysis carried out to investigate the connection between the two variables more thoroughly revealed that teacher self-efficacy negatively predicted burnout. Several suggestions were made in light of these conclusions and the results of other research that is equivalent to it.Item Online classes during Covid 19(UMT Lahore, 2022) Tuba MuzaffarThe COVID-19 pandemic quickly led the closure of schools, colleges and universities. For the purpose to continue the academic year, online classes are practiced in educational institutions of Pakistan. The present study was conducted to know the perception of students about the challenges they face in online classes conducted during the pandemic COVID-19. This study addresses what challenges students face while taking online classes. This was a quantitative research, used survey design and questionnaire was sent online to about 400 students. The researcher received complete questionnaires from 227 students enrolled in different semesters of the sample universities. Findings of the study showed that majority of the students were facing difficulty in communication with their teacher and class fellows, they have to work more as compared to offline classes and they have to face technical issues during their class. The participants also identified that online education was not much fruitful as compared to traditional classroom settings. This study has implications both for theory and for practices.Item Relationship of work environment with teachers’ job satisfaction among private secondary school teachers of district Lahore(UMT Lahore, 2022) ZUFEEN JAVAID KHANThe purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship of work environment with teachers’ job satisfaction among private secondary school teachers of district Lahore. A quantitative survey design was utilized to investigate the relationship of work environment with teachers’ job satisfaction among private secondary school teachers. The population for this study was the private school teacher who teaches at secondary level in district Lahore. The sample of the study was 300 teachers teaching in secondary private schools of the district Lahore, but because of the Covid-19 restrictions, survey questionnaire was developed on Google Form and the link was shared with the teachers taken as sample in the study. A questionnaire based on five-point Likert scale was used as an instrument for the process of data collection. The questionnaire was comprised of 26 statements. In order to check the validity of the instrument, correlation was found out to highlight the significance level of each and every statement. The validity of the instrument was ensured by taking expert opinions. The researcher received 250 responses, out of which only 226 were included in the final analysis because the rest were incomplete and missed important demographic information. Convenience sampling method was utilized and due to the limited time of the study, the data was collected from the Cantonment tehsil of Lahore only. The analysis of data collected for this study was performed through the IBM SPSS Statistics for Windows, Version 21. Out of total 226 respondents, 80 were males and 146 were females. The results of the study have shown that most of the private school teachers of the district Lahore are satisfied with their jobs as the mean score for items related to Job Satisfaction is (M=3.7). The mean score of the participants related to the Work Environment is (M=3.8), which means that majority of the private secondary school teachers of the district Lahore are satisfied with their Work Environment. The mean score of the male teachers for Job Satisfaction is (M=44.80) and for female teachers is (M=44.0), which shows that males have better perception for the Job Satisfaction. While for the Work Environment, the perception of female teachers (M=42.27) is better as compared to male teachers (M=41.73). There is a positively significant relation between job satisfaction and Work Environment (r = .833, p <0.01), which means a very strong correlation between work environment and job satisfaction. It was concluded that there was strong relationship between the Work Environment and Job Satisfaction. Both of the elements co-exist; without a proper working environment an employee cannot feel satisfied. It is recommended that the private schools should opt for increasing the satisfaction of their teachers. If school management starts asking for the views and perspective of the employees, it can also help in boosting their interest in the job and their schools, and the management needs to be transparent. When it comes to the feedback, all of the criteria should be open and clear to each; it will motivate the teachers.Item Opportunities and constraints for continuous professional development of university teachers to improve quality of teaching in higher education(UMT Lahore, 2022) MANIYAL AZHARTeachers play a key role in transforming learners and the education system in any society. Training the teachers can be useful to make the teaching-learning process more effective and it can make the difference in transforming individuals to compete globally. The objectives of the study were to find out the various opportunities of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities provided to the higher education faculty, the influence of CPD activities on their teaching practices, and higher education faculty’s opinion about the effectiveness of CPD programs provided by their university. A quantitative method was used for this research. The population included teachers of public and private sector universities of Lahore. 410 participants were involved; 44 teachers were male and 366 were female. Cluster sampling technique was used. Data was collected by questionnaire and descriptive analysis was used for data analysis purposes. Results showed that pre-joining, continuing education, study networks among teachers, orientations, foreign scholarships, and collaborative research opportunities of these activities should be provided more often to improve the quality of education. Awareness should be provided at various platforms regarding CPD activities offered by the university so that everyone can stay updated. Higher education institutes can use this data to cope with such constraints that can result in effective continuous professional development of their faculty. By exploring the faculty opinion about the influence and effectiveness of CPD, it can be identified which available CPD activities should be practiced more; this can help develop future programs supporting CPD activities with well-planned strategies aiming to enhance the quality of higher education.Item Identifying environmental education components in teacher education(UMT Lahore, 2022) Batool IshaqueThe purpose of the study is to explore the curriculum of teacher preparation program from environmental education perspective and identify the content, the pedagogical skills, reflective practice, and the skills to participate within the community. The study used directed content analysis as research design which is a deductive approach to qualitative analysis, and it starts with an existing theory or framework and utilize data to either support or construct upon that framework. The existing framework was developed by intensive study of the curriculums on Environmental Teacher Education Programs by UNESCO, NACTE and EYLAR. Purposive criterion sampling was used to study a very specific criteria which enables to study the content in depth. The B.Ed. 4 years curriculum was analyzed in the study. The analysis of the data revealed that only content knowledge for cognitive development and instructional basic methods were given major importance in the curriculum, while the content related to social emotional and behavioral dimensions were not given due importance. Similarly, the assessment was also for learning outcomes only, while assessment of teaching for reflective practice and community involvement of trainee teachers was totally ignored. It has been concluded that curriculum must cater all aspects of teaching and learning process with special focus on Environmental education, specifically those which bring changes in thoughts, beliefs, lifestyle, critical thinking, creative solution and community involvement. The findings have been discussed from various perspectives and some suggestions which are based on findings have been put forward to make the teaching learning process beneficial for sustainable environment.
