Item Sustainable Dyeing of Cotton using Bombax Ceiba Extract Sustainable Dyeing of Cotton Using Bombax Ceiba Extract(UMT, Lahore, 2025-05-05) Saba TariqNatural Dyes are sustainable source of coloring textiles. These dyes provide additional functional characteristics along with aesthetic finishing. We can obtain natural dyes from animal and plants. These dyesalso exhibit good fastness properties. The current study is based on using Bombax Ceiba commonly knownas red cotton, silk cotton or kapok flower extract to dye cotton fabric. Susi fabric is made using a labor-intensive, traditional method, with striped patterns and checks created by interlacing fine cotton, silk, or mixed yarns on traditional handlooms.
