    Natural Dyes are sustainable source of coloring textiles. These dyes provide additional functional characteristics along with aesthetic finishing. We can obtain natural dyes from animal and plants. These dyesalso exhibit good fastness properties. The current study is based on using Bombax Ceiba commonly knownas red cotton, silk cotton or kapok flower extract to dye cotton fabric. The natural dye extraction was done in an alkaline medium.

Synthetic dyes have become the most commonly used type of dye due to their versatility and wide range of colors, but their disposal causes adverse effects on the environment, such as health risks and environmental pollution.

    Sussi cloth, a traditional symbol of Sindhi culture, is a symbol of the rich creative heritage and socio-cultural identity of Sindh, Pakistan. Originating in the 18th century, it became a sought-after commodity due to its intricate craftsmanship, complex designs, and rainbow of colours. Susi fabric is made using a labor-intensive, traditional method, with striped patterns and checks created by interlacing fine cotton, silk, or mixed yarns on traditional handlooms.
