Abstract
Natural Dyes are sustainable source of coloring textiles. These dyes provide additional
functional characteristics along with aesthetic finishing. We can obtain natural dyes from
animal and plants. These dyesalso exhibit good fastness properties. The current study is based
on using Bombax Ceiba commonly knownas red cotton, silk cotton or kapok flower extract to
dye cotton fabric. The natural dye extraction was done in an alkaline medium.
