    A QUALITATIVE STUDY OF DREAMS: SOCIAL AND RELIGIOUS CONTEXT OF DREAMS AND THEIR ROLE IN INDIVIDUAL’S LIFE

    This study was aimed to analyze the importance of dreams in an adult’s people life. Dreams are those which we see while sleeping. Dreams are affected by external realities because what we thought and see comes into our minds and is stored in the subconscious and unconscious state. However, this study was aimed to study the social and religious values which are attached to our dreams. The researcher was interested in the perspective of dreams in religion. In Islam, people believe in three types of dreams which are cited in the Quran o Hadith.

    The Effects of Menstrual Hygiene Management on Girl’s School attendance and Academic Achievement at Secondary-level Public Schools in slum Areas of Lahore

    Menstruation has begun in adult women, chemical changes occurred physically and girls reached puberty during this period is called menarche. It is a common biological process in all women worldwide. Cultural values, norms, and social practices are connected with the menstrual cycle of girls. In Pakistan there are many religious practices are attached to the menstruation cycle. Women are prohibited from, specific types of religious practices as they will not offer prayers, and can't read the Quran in Pakistan. Many studies performed on girls' menstruation and hygiene practices. Health facilities related to menstruation are insufficient. The literature review suggested that there is a need to pay attention to girls' menstrual hygiene management in schools. (Zobia, Sommer, & Bhatti, 2016).

    CHALLENGES FACED BY SPORT SCHOLARSHIP STUDENTS IN HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS: A QUALITATIVE STUDY IN LAHORE

    Sports play a pivotal role in enhancing physical well-being, cultivating collaborative skills, cultivating self-control, and advancing psychological welfare. Furthermore, they impart essential life skills such as tenacity and leadership, hence enhancing total personal growth. This study aims to investigate the many obstacles encountered by students receiving sport scholarships in higher education institutions located in Lahore. The present study aimed to examine the various elements that contribute to the emergence of obstacles in the management of scholarship and academics. The objective of this study is to provide a comprehensive understanding of the ways in which these factors lead to the emergence of obstacles in academic performance among sport scholarship students in higher education institutions. Implementing a qualitative research methodology, the investigation employed a snowball sampling technique and purposive sampling approach to gather data from the designated population

    ABLEISM AND CHALLENGES FACED BY WOMEN WITH PHYSICAL DISABILITIES: A QUALITATIVE STUDY OF WOMEN IN LAHORE PAKISTAN.

    This research endeavors to explore the lived experiences of women with physical disabilities grappling with the challenges posed by ableism within Lahore, Pakistan. Delving into the intricacies of this intersection between disability and gender, the qualitative study sheds light on the nuanced dynamics at play. Despite the burgeoning discourse surrounding disability rights, the narratives of this specific cohort remain largely overlooked. Through in-depth interviews and thematic analysis, the research unveils the pervasive presence of ableism within societal beliefs, structures, and institutions, exerting profound impacts on the everyday realities of the participants. The study elucidates narratives of resilience juxtaposed against prevalent prejudices, shame, and exclusion, deeply entrenched in cultural paradigms and conventions. Furthermore, it delineates the multifaceted obstacles encountered by physically disabled women, ranging from restricted access to education, employment, healthcare, and social inclusion to navigating traditional gender stereotypes, including marriage and matchmaking, violence, and sexual and reproductive health. By offering significant insights into the lived experiences of women with physical disabilities in Lahore, this research contributes meaningfully to the broader discourse surrounding ableism, disability, gender, and society, thereby enhancing scholarly understanding and advocacy efforts in this realm.

    Breaching the Wall

    Increasing crime rate has been a significant problem throughout history. Especially, since it becomes more complex when the ex-offenders commit another crime even after the prior conviction and put themselves in the world of recidivism. This research aims to present findings on the role of social informal networks in recidivism and social reintegration challenges to ex-offenders. The research consists of both quantitative and qualitative research methods under the geographical boundaries of Lahore, Pakistan. Initially, the quantitative (n=201) interviews of ex-offenders were conducted by simple random sampling technique in both the district and central prisons of Lahore. Afterwards, until the data saturation, 10 qualitative in-depth interviews were conducted with prison officials by using the purposive sampling technique in the district and central prisons of Lahore, Pakistan.

    Quality of life of Elderly People Living in Aafiat Center, Narowal.

    Old-age homes are not a regular feature in Pakistani society. However, the concept of old homes and similar facilities is increasing for many reasons. In this research, we have concentrated on Aafiat center, a facility in Narowal that provides shelter to older people who do not have any other place to live. More senior people come here for various reasons, which this research discusses in detail. This qualitative research uses thematic analysis to identify the quality of life in under discussion facility. In addition, participants were interviewed to determine different aspects of their lives. Most residents have been there since their partner died and have no place to live. Moreover, their children are not willing to keep them in their homes. Since there is friction among them or they cannot afford to keep them in homes.
