The paper begins with Introduction to Aircraft Cargo Loader along with aims and objectives of this project. It gives a brief history of freight loaders and the existing regulations of three different Aviation legislative bodies. The available cargo loaders in market today are also discussed as a reference for starting the research on how the model under consideration can be fabricated to perform desired task. Authors have also highlighted any innovations that can be inducted in the project. The innovations will address the problem of ground equipment based accidents due to human errors and provide a mechanism for its prevention during operations. The paper includes the Industrial Survey and Market Survey to narrow down the resources required and available in market for construction of the model. The cost and safety factors outlined from these surveys helped authors in selecting the correct structure and actuator. The theoretical analysis is carried out to understand the proposed project’s credibility and components’ specifications that are utilised. It consists of calculations which were carried out to find the force required to raise 20kg load, torque required to turn power screw for lifting load and length of power screw required to raise platform to 2ft. height. The design mechanism is also reviewed through this analysis and its results are utilised to understand the scissor lift’s minimum angle with respect to base and motor’s power. Through stress analysis on Ansys, the structural strength and stress involved are simulated. This analysis was carried out to eliminate any chances of stress failure of model by selecting the correct materials for model’s components. Using a 3D model, the project’s proposed design is represented along with step by step assembly of individual component. The safety systems inducted in model are also discussed in this paper. Electrical connections and interfacing each electronic component with each other to fulfil system’s purpose are discussed in detail. The basic know how of the hydraulic system can be ensured by demonstrating a mock up of hydraulic system to the students undergoing the educational period of their journey to be an aircraft maintenance engineer. The opportunities to work on a hydraulic system embedded in an aircraft are relatively quite rare because of the criticality of the components in which only certified personnel are allowed to go through close working experience. Here is the point where a mock-up of hydraulic system makes itself a necessity to be demonstrated to students at early stages so that it assists them when they step into the field. The report gives detailed information about the hydraulic system, its history and its importance in terms of power transmission. They are used to study the flow of air over any moving object and hence determine the aerodynamic characteristics of that object. Wind tunnel present in Walton Aviation Training School (WATS) is an open-end suction type wind tunnel. This wind tunnel operates at low speed as would be used for studying aerodynamic characteristics of smaller objects. The wind tunnel will measure Cl and Cd values of NACA 4-digit airfoils. Airspeed through the wind tunnel would be measured digital anemometer, while the load cells would measure the drag and lift forces acting on the wing. This report would explain the amendment that would be made in the existing wind tunnel. In Ground handling operations there are many activities: passenger handling, ground transport, assistance in blocking the aircraft and also the delivery of required equipment, unloading and loading of the aircraft, also including operation of required equipment and provision, also transporting of the passengers and crew to terminal and the aircraft, transporting of luggage between the aircraft and the terminal, catering. It is very difficult for the student or a common man to visit airports to see cargo and passenger aircraft and to see it has been operating. Ansab NaeemItem Factors Affecting Travel Intentions of Pakistani Outbound Tourists(UMT, Lahore, 2022) Aqsa Tahir; Tahreem Fatima; Malaika Anjum; Abdullah AminIn the present study, we have examined the travel intentions of Pakistani outbound tourists with relevant elements by applying the theory of planned behavior in the context of COVID 19 to better understand traveler’s perception. Such kind of study has not been conducted in Pakistan which measures the intentions of Pakistani outbound tourists who have resources for international travel. In this study SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) was used to analyze the data that was received from 220 participants out of which data from 163 participants was computed as these were the screened participants in accordance with the scope of this study. Responses were collected through a combination of online surveys as well as traditional way of data collection, i.e. distribution of printed questionnaire, responses to which were later on added to google forms. The proposed hypothesis was empirically tested and the results showed that all three factors Attitude, Subjective Norms, and Perceived Behavioral Control inform us regarding the intentions and behavior towards a specific destination and, any deviation in any of these factors has direct impact on traveler’s intentions which may change during making the choice. Perceived behavioral control has the impact of 32.4%, subjective norms 34% whereas the attitude has 19.2% impact on the travel intentions of the travelers. A positive relationship was confirmed between attitude (A), subjective norm (SN) and perceived behavior control (PBC) on travel intention. This specific study gives the insight of travel intention of people during COVID-19 with the help of TPB. The concluded value of R2 was 49.4% which shows the variation in the value of dependent variable. It informs that the change in intentions due to these three variables (subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, and attitude) is 49.4% and rest change in intentions is due to other factors which are not used in this study. Limitations were also discussed at the end.
