(UMT.Lahore, 2020) HAREEM HASSAN; KAINAT TARIQ; MAMOONA NASIR
The present study investigated the relationship between personality traits, self-control and sexting attitudes in young adults. It was hypothesized that i) there is likely to be a relationship between personality traits, self-control and sexting attitudes among young adults, and ii) Personality traits and self-control are likely to predict sexting attitudes among young adults. Convenient sample of 254 young adults with an age range of 18-30 years (M = 22.28, SD = 2.70) were taken from different universities and professional fields in Pakistan. The self-constructed demographic sheet, Brief HEXACO inventory (de Vries, 2013), Brief Self-Control Scale (Tangney, 2004) and Sexting Attitude scale (Weiskkerch & Delevi, 2011) were used to assess the sample. The results of Pearson product moment correlation showed that honesty/humility and self-control had a negative relationship with fun and carefree aspect of sexting in young adults. Moreover, honesty/humility, conscientiousness and self-control had a positive, whereas emotionality had a negative relationship with perceived risk aspect of sexting in young adults. Furthermore, honesty humility and self-control also had a negative relationship with relational expectations aspect of sexting. The results of multiple hierarchical regression analyses indicated that self-control negatively predicted fun and care free aspect and positively predicted perceived risk aspect of sexting attitudes in young adults. Moreover, honesty/humility also negatively predicted relational expectations in young adults. Furthermore, the results showed significant differences in working and non-working young adults in terms of personality traits, self-control and sexting attitudes. The study will contribute towards the field of cyber psychology providing an in-depth understanding of the wide spread xii phenomenon of sexting whilst also highlighting the importance of sex education in generating discourse regarding some of the major mental health concerns associated with the sexting behavior.

Some of the students mainly feel anxious and are not quite adaptive whereas some of the students who are having higher adaptive capacities lead to higher amount of sense of humour and dominating as well. All of these variables are inter-connected which impacts a lot in daily lives. To conduct this study we used three different kind of scales; The Multidimensional Sense of Humour Scale, Social Competence Scale for Adults and Subjective Happiness Scale. Pearson product moment correlational analysis was carried out to find the relationship between variables, which concluded that all three variables are positively correlated with each other. Whereas, Subjective Happiness was found to be significant predictor of social competenc

    Bullying
    (UMT.Lahore, 2020) AYESHA AFZAL; FARHAL EJAZ –
The study has been conducted to understand the involvement and identifying the relationship between bullying, stress and mental health among young adults. Bullying causes an extensive impact on mental health of young adults whether they are in schools, colleges or even in universities. It was hypothesised that A) There is likely to be a relationship between bullying and stress and mental health among young adults. B) There is likely to be a relationship between demographic variables, bullying, stress and mental health. C) There is likely to be a predictive role of bullying from stress and mental health among young adults. There are different studies that have been conducted previously which show that bullying can cause a change of behaviour in young adults also leaves an impact on their mental health (Alsaker, & Valkanover, 2001). Correlational Research Strategy is used to chiefly inspect the relationship between Bullying, Stress and Mental Health in youth. Perceived stress scale, Multidimensional Bullying Victimization Scale (MBVS) and mental health inventory scale were used in assessment protocols. The results revealed that stress and mental health emerged as significant positive predictor of bullying. In other words, bullying is strongly predicted by stress and mental health. If young adults are bullied, they are likely to have stress and mental health. The results also indicate that children with depressive symptoms and anxiety are at increased risk of being victimized.

While FoMO has negative relation with psychosocial wellbeing. Whereas, education has positive relation with psychological wellbeing, meanwhile number of friends has positive relation with social wellbeing. The results of regression PROCESS macro v3.4, (Hayes, 2019) showed that SNS usage and FoMO are the predictors of psychosocial wellbeing. The purpose of current study was to understand the effect and relationship of sleep patterns on the mental health of young adults. It was hypothesized PSQI namely; subjective sleep quality, sleep latency, sleep duration, use of sleep medication, day time dysfunction, sleep efficiency and sleep disturbance will have positive relationship among themselves and mental wellbeing. Mental health will have negative correlation with global PSQI. Mental health will predict global PSQI. It was a correlational (cross section) research. Non-probability convenient sample of 117 individuals’ boys=44 and girls=73 with the age range from 20-35 years (M = 1.64, SD =.60) was collected. Measurements included Pittsburgh sleep Quality index (Buysse, 1989) PSQI and The Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-being Scale (Ruth Tennant, 2007). The results of Pearson product moment correlation showed that overall Global Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (GPSQI) was correlated with mental well-being. Hierarchical Regression analysis results revealed that there was negative significant prediction among global Pittsburgh sleep quality index (GPSQI) and mental wellbeing. The study helps us understand the importance of sleep pattern and its impact on individual mental wellbeing.

Assessment tools were used The Silencing the SelfScale developed by ( Jack & Dill, 1992), The Big three Perfectionism Scale developed by ( Smith, 2016) and Revised Dyadic Adjustment Scale developed by ( Busby et al,1995). The data was statistically analyzed through SPSS. The results revealed that perfectionism has significant positive relation with marital adjustment furthermore; self-silencing has also significant positive relation with perfectionism and marital adjustment. Hierarchical regression demonstrated that perfectionism and silencing were the predictors of marital adjustment issues. In this research, we explored that perfectionism and self-silencing are the attributions that leads to marital adjustment issues. Therefore, the family and marriage counselors can take advantage from this research and can practice the techniques to lower the perfectionism and self-silencing attributions in the problematic couples.
