The key benefits of tourism are the production of income and the development of employment. It is the most significant source of income for many regions and nations. . One reason for the growth of travel and tourism is the increase in the number of bleisure trips. Bleisure is a combination of business and leisure trips, and 72 percent of business travelers now include a leisure component in their business trips. Bleisure is a mix of business and leisure travel, with 72 percent of business travelers now having a leisure aspect in their itinerary. Tourism's positive and negative impacts will characterize employment prospects and enhance an area's income. Many developed countries seek to develop tourism to enhance the quality of services they offer to their tourists. Pakistan's tourism sector is underdeveloped. The current geopolitical situation in the world does not cause the tourism industry to flourish as it does in Malaysia, Thailand, and India. Tourists are afraid to visit Pakistan because of law and order issues and a hostile climate, which is hampering the industry's development. The city of Lahore has launched a sight-seeing bus service for visitors and residents. However, there is a shortage of adequate path distribution and service supply. There are numerous tourist attraction points in Punjab Province's capital city that require proper maintenance in the form of facilities and information. Lahore has tourism potential, which can be developed properly to draw both local and foreign visitors. It would eventually create employment opportunities for people living near tourist attractions, boosting the region's economy. This bus service travels quickly enough to allow for adequate ventilation .We have suggested three routes for sightseeing buses in Lahore: Orange, Purple, and Green. Each route has its own identification, such as the Orange route for historical sites, the Purple route for recreational sites, and the Green route for shopping pace. These three routes cover all of Lahore's major sites: Route 1 covers all of Lahore's historical sites and provides an opportunity to see Lahore in a new light on a one-day trip; Route 2 covers the recreational sites of Lahore and provides an opportunity to see Lahore in a new light on a one-day trip; and Route 3 is unique in that it covers the man made sites and shopping malls. In the event that these roads are blocked due to an emergency, alternate routes will be provided to make the trip more enjoyable, safe, and exciting. This research will be carried out in order to improve the tourism industry in Lahore, which will aid in revenue generation and the development of a friendly, amenity rich climate. In times of sickness and injury, time is spent with professionals in environments that are meant to repair our health in a timely, painless, sensible manner. These environments can be designed to promote a healthy mind and body through a strong connection between the built environment and its natural surroundings. There are many factors that are involved in our body’s biological recovery time, and many of these biological responses are induced through our emotions, which can be controlled in some degree by the spaces that surround us. The spaces we inhabit and their exposure to natural elements, such as sunlight and fresh air, contribute to a patient’s recovery process. Successful completion of this project will give a better understanding of what people with dependencies need in order to recover from physical and psychological impacts in the most efficient, effective manner possible, also encouragement to take a control over their addictive stance. Health care facilities are often times associated as being sterile, artificial environments. Insufficient water supply hinders economic development as low-grade water. As Karachi is facing major water crises, soon Lahore is also going to face same issue as the ground water depletion carries out rapidly, and there are no other resources for fresh water. Rainwater is available in many regions, but often it is only discharged into drainage system or the nearest river instead of being utilized. Especially in urban areas like Lahore, where fresh water demand is steadily increasing, rainwater management becomes a crucial parameter for sustainable urban environment. Rainwater, if discharged into the drainage systems, interacts with solid waste and becomes liquid waste itself and its hazardous for environment. However, the negative effects of area sealing and rainwater drainage, especially decreased groundwater recharge and increasing flood risks in expanding urban environments. The thesis is based on the technique of rainwater harvesting as a source of water resource management to fulfill the water demand. This model is applied on the Sukh Chayn Gardens Lahore, Sukh Chayn Gardens has installed Stormwater Drainage System for the collection of rainwater. Lahore, being the fourteenth most populous city of the world, has gone through major physical spatial expansion due to a continuous population increase. The study is an attempt to find out an answer to the issues of the provision of infrastructural facilities in Wafaqi colony a public low-income housing scheme of Lahore. When housing and urbanization problems are linked, a critical problem emerges in providing housing for the urban poor, and the debate has changed over whether to deplore urban housing due to the mushrooming of slums where living conditions are very low and sanitation is almost non-existent due to which infectious diseases are spreading. Housing Satisfaction assessments have formed the basis of housing improvements aimed at enhancing residents’ quality of life and to shape the factors worsening housing quality by fair distribution of resources across all income levels. Measuring the satisfaction level of residents is an important indicator for the present and future success of any housing scheme. Residents’ concerns and opinions can be used to assess the quality of low-income housing and as a benchmark to quality improvement. ii To find the solution to such questions it was therefore essential to analyze the existing conditions of infrastructure facilities in the colony and to study the satisfaction level of residents. The study mainly focused on the information obtained through available literature and data collected through physical surveys to assess these parameters. Residential neighborhood analysis was done to determine residents ' level of satisfaction. Yeh, S.H.K. Homes for the people: a study of tenants’ views on public housing in Singapore has been used for measuring the level of satisfaction. The findings suggest that a proper systemic process for infrastructure provision in low-income housing schemes is urgently needed. The concerned officials of the colony should develop monitoring systems for the continuous evaluation and assessment of the infrastructure.Item A STUDY OF LAND SPECULATION OF LOW-INCOME PLOTS OF APPROVED PRIVATE HOUSING SCHEMES IN LAHORE(UMT Lahore, 2019) MUHAMMAD SALMANItem exploring integrated rural development linkages and its potential A case study of bhuler village, kasur.(UMT Lahore, 2019) REHAN ATTIQ NAWAZ; EHSAN UL HAQThis report is about designated topic that is assessment of integrated rural development and it’s way forward in Pakistan so as to strengthen rural urban linkages to reduce disparities among rural and urban areas. It has been prepared by using the appropriate research methods or techniques of qualitative research which includes further research types, research design, conceptual framework, data collection approaches, etc. This report consists of its title describing the main idea of the research i.e. exploring integrated rural development linkages & their potential in Pakistan. Rural development plays a key role in country’s economy if it gets significant attention by the government and non-government sectors. Integrated rural development doesn’t mean development of agricultural sector. However, it’s a composite of agricultural development and other allied factors such as facilitating non-farming activities, introducing the “ease of doing business” like environment so as to initiate rural entrepreneurship with directly impact livelihood of rural residents. As neglecting rural areas in policies & plans, it has significantly negative impacts on their residents as well as at overall living environment and this phenomenon is inversely proportional to the rural urban migration, more attention towards development of rural area depending upon their potential can reduce regional disparities.Item An Analysis of Housing Microfinance Institutions in Pakistan Contributing Towards Women Empowerment(UMT Lahore, 2019) JAVERIA HASANItem an assessment study of market-vibrancy(UMT Lahore, 2019) Muhammad Talha; Zubair HussainHistorically urban spaces have validated their importance as the identity of our cities but in this age of transition, our urban spaces are constantly being degraded due to different factors like haphazard development and fraternization of historic and modern development. Its rate of increase in population is 2.40 percent and it is highest in South Asia. With rapid population increase and urbanization, annual waste generation is expected to increase by 70% from 2016 levels to 3.40 billion tonnes in 2050. Further, the sanitary workers are performing well but they have lack of understanding against such pandemics.Item Identifying factors affecting the traffic congestion on main markets of Lahore(UMT Lahore, 2020) Nouman Abid; Mujtaba HussainLahore city is the most urbanized city.
