It consisted of a headache for staff members who generated and scheduled the timetable manually. It was difficult to handle the daily problems. We designed a timetable management system for scheduling activities with respect to resources. We gave activities and resources as input to the timetable scheduler, and it schedules all the activities automatically. We have four types of input. First is Group, which means a group of activities. We can add a group of activities and select the activities to include in the group. In this section, the group takes two inputs: first, Group Name, and second, Description, and then submit. The second category is Add Resources, which includes Resource Name and Resource Type. Resource name means the name of the resource, and Resource Type has two options: room and person. Third is Resource and Grouping. We can also select activities from Resource and Grouping. These are combined when scheduling the timetable. We can select activities from Resource and Grouping that are already entered. In this section, we can choose resources and choose a group of activities. Fourth is Activities Allocation. Users can enter the activity name and then select a resource and group. Resource and Group have options for users; if they write the name of an activity, they can then select the Resource or Group. The timetable project schedules all types of activities. All activities can be different from each other. They can be labs, classes, seminars, or examinations. These types of activities can be scheduled automatically.Item Text to Pakistan sign language automation(UMT Lahore, 2015) Hira Asim; Muhammad MobeenIn this thesis, a text to Pakistan Sign Language automation system has been proposed. The respective system takes an English input sentence and converts it into a Pakistan Sign Language sentence. By considering an effective and efficient use of storage, computation, and bandwidth, animation is an appropriate and sophisticated way to keep sign language content on the Internet. Out of all present sign language writing notation systems, HamNoSys is an efficient available notation that is not only able to convert signs into animations but also supports non-manual features such as body, head, and shoulder movements with the help of the SiGML markup language. HamNoSys basically symbolizes the gestures of signs present. The proposed system is not only capable of converting manually input text into its respective PSL version, but it also facilitates a deaf user to input any type of content from any web page. Our system is a HamNoSys-based system that is capable of generating animations of corresponding signs in PSL. As a benchmark, we took videos from PSL.org as standard gestures for our dictionary. Among all text to sign language conversion approaches, we followed a transfer-based translation approach, as we are not only translating input text into PSL but also validating and verifying the grammar of the converted sentence as well.Item RPD management system(UMT Lahore, 2015) Irfan Ahmed; Usman Arshad; Maroof SubhaniThis is an “RPD management system.” The term “RPD” stands for retail, point of sale, and distribution. This is utilized in the field of molds, dies, precision manufacturing & accurate cutting etc. Any complicated design can be created with high grade of precision & surface finish utilizing wire EDM. The output of this process is influenced by a huge number of input variables. Therefore an appropriate choice of input variables is very crucial to get maximum surface finish, maximum material removal rate and minimum machining time. The selection of these input variables depends greatly on the operator’s choice & experience. Wire EDM is widely utilized in machining of electrically conductive materials when accuracy & precision is of prime significance. In the present work WEDM machining is performed on work parts of stainless steel-304. Actually we wanted to find the effect of process parameters on surface roughness & material removal rate applying on material with varying thicknesses. So, we utilized brass wire with diameter of 0.18mm. Process parameters which we concerned are wire speed, wire feed rate, fluid pressure, and they are used as our input parameters. We varied our input parameters to find out their effect on the material’s surface roughness & material removal rate. Profilometer has been used to measure the surface roughness.Item LetzChat(UMT Lahore, 2015) Ali Ayaz; Athar Mahmood; H.M AwaisLetzChat is a smartphone application which is developed for the people to send instant messages, images, videos, voice recordings and also they can voice and video call their love ones free of cost anytime and anywhere in the world and faster than ever. Conventionally more lead time is required to make a garment. With the advancement in technology, now there is need for such a technology which can reduce the fabric loss and lead time. DPOL is used to produce finish edges of garment pieces which reduce loss of fabric. The main aim of our project is to increase the production of direct pattern on Jacquard. Firstly, we developed a pattern of shirt on chart paper. After that, with the same measurements we digitize it on Scot weave software and then save data in floppy disk for transferring it to the Jacquard loom. At the end, we got weaved fabric which was ready for further processes. This process uses less resource than conventional process.
