dc.description.abstractResearcher being a teacher has very intricate relationship with sports and Co-curricular activities.At times he was entrusted the responsibility to include sports and Co-curricular activities in practice though the two have different intents. Co-curricular activities nowadays form the footing of academic activities as a forum and as a platform to facilitate the students in their learning and enriching their knowledge horizon. They facilitated logos, menthos and ethos as the pre-requisites and supportive modes for education. It became the craze of the researcher to find out that to what extent the schools are justifying the carrying out of co-curricular activities in accordance with the well-being and commitment. The study under consideration was focused on Role of co-curricular activities in the personality development of learners at elementary level in District Hafizabad. To address the issue the objectives jotted down were; to identify the conduct and nature of co-curricular activities at the elementary level, plan made and its implementation, follow up of the schedule and its implementation, to be aware of the time given to the co-curricular activities and entrust of responsibilities, find out the elements of behavior addressed to and remained deficient after the conduct of co-curricular activities. The study was descriptive in nature based on the survey of the opinion of the Head teachers of Elementary schools working at District Hafizbad both in the public and private, rural/ urban and male as well as female schools. The major findings were that the activities are conducted in diverse manners. These are normally conducted unscheduled organized by non-professionals simply to materialize the discipline.en_US
