Abstract
The aim of this project is to develop a strategy though which defects happen in the chain of manufacturing garments and ready garments can be minimized. As our country, Pakistan is an under-developed country so this was need of time to minimize the defects to avoid the rejection.
In this project we have done work on the minimization of defects and purposed a better strategy to avoid defects, to produce more flexibility in styles, to increase the production, to complete the order on time and with minimum number of defects for the sake of rejection. As the other countries like Bangladesh, china and india are also a good garment producer and they are also producing in cheaper rates then Pakistan. So this is required to improve in our quality and more style to defeat the competitors.
We have discussed approx. every defect that can happen in the sewing section and purposed the way to minimize it. Also we have purposed some two to three extra operator for the sake of time loss in production line. Also suggested that the person working on production line should know some basic skill regarding.
Maintenance of machine is also a big issue. Sometimes the defects like miss stitch also happens due to machine problems and for this reason it is suggested that every operator should clean its machine when start working or leaving the machine.
