Abstract
The purpose of this research was to explore the relationship between psychological manipulation, assertiveness and relationship instability among young adults. Data was collected from BS students comprised of 144 males and 156 females (N= 300). The Correlational research design was used to identify the relationship between these variables and strafed sampling was used to obtain the data. The present study comprised of demographic sheet, Victims of Psychological Manipulation Scale (Ijaz & Farooq, 2020), Assertiveness Scale for University Student (Ijaz & Khalid) and Relationship Instability Scale (Saleem & Mahmood, 2014). Pearson Product Correlation, t-test and ANOVA analysis were applied in the study. The findings of correlation stated that there is negative significant relationship between victims of psychological manipulation and assertiveness while t-test shows the significant results on demographics like, gender and family system. ANOVA indicated significant results with father’s education. This study will be helpful for future researches to know about awareness of psychological manipulation and how it effects the relationships. It will also aware about the importance of assertiveness in young adults.
