Abstract
Globally, the prevalence of diabetes has increased, considering
different lifestyles, changes in physical activity, and dietary patterns. Its rate has
also increased in Pakistan. Several factors are contributing to this prevalence,
including an increase in obesity and increased consumption of local carb-based
foods. Modifying local cuisine and using herbs can be proven effective strategies to
minimize the risk of diabetes.
