dc.description.abstract	Purpose –. The purpose of this research is to understand how supply chain learning practices impact supply chain performance. It also helps in understanding indirect impact of supply chain strategy in relationship between supply chain learning practices & supply chain performance. Design/methodology/approach – A survey on the manufacturing industry of Pakistan is conducted for this study, further the theoretically derived model is tested in PLS based structural equation model (SEM). Findings – The results of the study show that supply chain learning practices (exploitation and exploration) provide the basis for the development of supply chain strategy. Supply chain exploitation directly and supply chain exploration indirectly impact the supply chain performance. Furthermore, supply chain agility fully and lean supply chain partially mediate the relationship between supply chain learning and supply chain performance. Originality/value – This study aims to add value in; identifying basis for the development of supply chain strategy, evaluating performance implications of supply chain learning practices in the field of supply chain (specially supply chain exploitation and supply chain exploration), and uncover the indirect role of supply chain strategy to enhance supply chain performance.
