Abstract
The following research is presenting the idea and concept of citizenship by discussing the Gender and citizenship. The proposed study is based upon qualitative research methods through text analysis of available information. Moreover, the study aims to enhance the knowledge by using methods and research instrument to understand the role, contribution and function of citizenship and notion of gender in textbooks of schools and how these textbooks utilizing the gender. The main purpose of the proposed study is to evaluate the notion of the citizenship and its involvement in the lessons of textbooks and how it is shaping the behavior or enhancing stereotypes.
