The Aim of the current study was to investigate the relationship of academic burnout (personal burnout, studies related burnout, classmate related burnout and teachers related burnout), mental health (depression, anxiety and stress) and self-efficacy among university students. It was hypothesized that (a) there is likely to be a negative relationship between academic burnout and mental health (b) there is likely to be a significant relationship between academic burnout and self-efficacy (c) there is likely to be positive relationship between self-efficacy and mental health. Non-probability convenient sampling technique was used to asses this hypothesis from N= 200 with 89 males and 111 female and data was analyzed using SPSS-21 including correlational cross sectional research design to examine the relationship between academic burnout, mental health and self-efficacy. Descriptive statistics, Pearson Correlation and regression analysis were run to conclude the data. The results revealed that academic burnout had positive relationship with mental health among university students which means that increased in academic burnout increased in mental health while it’s also revealed that increased in academic burnout decrease in self-efficacy among students as the results also showed that academic burnout found to be negative relationship with self-efficacy. The finding also revealed that self-efficacy had negative relationship with mental health. This research study has implications in the area of literature gap and provided the important aspects for the relationship of academic burnout with mental health and self-efficacy.
