Abstract
Religious tourism has had a significant impact on the tourism sector, even though some holy places have aided in the promotion of tourism over the years. Tourism has been identified as one of the fastest expanding industries in the economy. Religion has a huge impact on the tourism industry's development since it affects it in so many ways. Religious sites in various countries around the world serve as beautiful tourism destinations for both international and domestic visitors. The success and expansion of these tourist attractions is determined by how well they are kept up to date in order to keep visitors coming back. Sikh religious tourism has the potential for boosting the tourism industry in Pakistan. Due to the financial problems in Pakistan, we have to point out the challenges which we face and overcome it by best tourism strategies.
According to Mani's research, the tourist industry in nations such as the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, and the United States, as well as several African countries such as Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt, Kenya, and South Africa, is growing at a rate of 4% each year. He also mentioned that tourist arrivals are on the rise. Tourism provides roughly 10% to an economy and employs about one-tenth of the global workforce, according to statistics.
Religious tourism's potential can be enhanced by making effective channels to attract them more. It can be done by facilitating them and making their ways much accessible. Despite of other countries, providing them visa could be a great attraction. Tourism industry could be grows up by the help of Government and non-government organizations. The present study is about the investigation of Pakistan’s undiscovered industry of religious Sikh tourism and tourism strategies to overcome political ties.
