Abstract
This study examines the influence of funding availability, institutional collaboration and community participation on effectiveness on disaster relief and recovery. Through an evaluation of the disaster recovery process, we can acquire important knowledge about the discourse surrounding disaster recovery in general and, more importantly, know the ways in which institutional collaboration, participation by the community, and funding availability can enhance the resilience and general well-being of populations affected by disasters. For this study article, a method of quantitative study was used. Pakistan's provinces (Punjab, Gilgit Baltistan, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Sindh) comprised the study population. 385 people were included in the sample, and information was gathered through online questionnaire questionnaires. For analyzing the data, the researcher used SPSS software. Our hypothesis—that funding availability, institutional collaboration, and community participation have a major impact on the success of disaster relief and recovery—is validated by the findings and outcomes. Several important recommendations were drawn from the findings, including the following: strengthen the healthcare infrastructure, encourage volunteerism and community engagement, ensure equitable resource distribution, build resilient infrastructure, improve disaster awareness and preparedness, and promote community participation in disaster recovery
