Abstract
Intelligent Transportation System has been evolving with the key concept of smart cities.
Considering the current status of technology involvement in urban mobility. This research
evaluates the technology acceptance for traveling based on user intention with their economic
status in six specific areas, for this, a structured questionnaire was formed and 120 respondents
had given their input. Likewise, mobility service apps based on GPS tracking, route information,
and safety were considered to be evaluated based on the Technology Acceptance Model. The
results have shown that usage of apps has significantly increased, based on the correlation built
between Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived security risk, Habit towards Use,
and Intentions of Use. Furthermore, based on TAM smart parking system also proposed to
empower the citizen with smart technology.
