    Non Renewable energy is expensive and people have to face crisis in future. Whereas solar can save money and environment too from hazardous situation. Our study area is model town in which conventional energy sources is majorly being used. Need of hour is to replace solar energy by the conventional energy. Main objective is to measure those factors which are playing an important role in adaptation of solar system by knowing the perception of people. Collect the data from primary source (articles) and secondary source(interviews). Different analysis performed through the software(spss) and Excel after applying factor analysis and Correlation analysis in order to know the perception of people for productive change

    A STUDY OF FACTORS AFFECTING RESIDENTS’ PERCEPTION TOWARDS APARTMENT LIVING IN lahore

    Pakistan faces a housing shortage due to rapid population growth, and a lack of public services adds to the problem. Currently, the roof/skyline of Lahore shows that housing (Apartment) is not as common as semi-detached houses. This study examines the perception of quality of life in Lahore to create a better understanding of housing and thereby increase its acceptance. A stratified research design was used and participants were residents of Lahore with good experience in equity or interdisciplinary settings. Residential communities and detached houses are the targets. Population surveys show that various factors influence the acceptance of vertical buildings/houses for different dimensions, privacy, size, security, Security is considered the most important thing that affects people living in vertical or apartment in Lahore. The most popular public places near respondents’ homes were shops, public transportation and public parks. According to the survey results, consumers are more interested in the quality and quality of their own areas and communities than in luxury.

    Placemaking of threatened market and its impact on the economy

    Local commercial centers and markets played a significant role in the economics of a region or country and are thus affected by numerous external factors like crime and threats. Through placemaking, the existing scenario of the situation may able the urban designers, planners, and practitioners to evaluate the existing design-based issues regarding security and crimes. However, this methodological approach enables economic activities with creating a sense of place via analytical urban morphological analyses. This design-based study is proposed as a precedent in the local and national context of markets in Pakistan.

    This research aims to provides the relation between physical planning/spatial structure and the spatial behavior with respect to different socio-economically developed areas, this research has been comprised of different analysis such as Composite index analysis for the classification of different socio-economically developed areas, social indicators have been used for the purpose of these analysis, Hotspot analysis of frequencies visits of people of different socio-economically developed areas, Familiarity Analysis of people of different socio- economically developed areas, integration with status and social cohesion, Proximity activity analysis of different activities such as workplace, educational institutes, commercial activities and recreational activities which contains time and distance of different social groups, Community priority analysis of their needs, wishes and peaceful place in their neighborhood, with respect to different social groups, these analysis are completed in this research on the basis of different indicators such as activity time, activity space, time budgeting, frequency of visits, familiarity of different surrounding areas with respect to the level of socio-economically developed areas.

    Technology Acceptance Model in Evaluation of Urban Mobility Services:

    Intelligent Transportation System has been evolving with the key concept of smart cities. Considering the current status of technology involvement in urban mobility. This research evaluates the technology acceptance for traveling based on user intention with their economic status in six specific areas, for this, a structured questionnaire was formed and 120 respondents had given their input. Likewise, mobility service apps based on GPS tracking, route information, and safety were considered to be evaluated based on the Technology Acceptance Model. The results have shown that usage of apps has significantly increased, based on the correlation built between Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived security risk, Habit towards Use, and Intentions of Use. Furthermore, based on TAM smart parking system also proposed to empower the citizen with smart technology.

    A Study to Quantify Visual Pollution by the Application of Visual Pollution Assessment Tool. A Comparison of Township and DHA, Lahore

    This study created a comparison between 2 different areas of Lahore, but they should have the same similar characteristic to compare with this VPA tool. Selection of the area based on the same land use as commercial, residential and open spaces. Sampling and marked areas for surveys and then gathering data from ODK and then performing analysis on the VPA tool. Created heat maps for visual representation. Results show the level of variation between both areas and then propose the efficiency and reduction of VPOs in that area.

    “Evaluation of domestic solid waste management system and it’s effects on health and environment”

    In many developed and developing nations, managing domestic solid waste is a common and severe challenge in both urban and rural areas. Collection and disposal of municipal domestic solid waste are one of the most significant urban environmental issues in many nations today. Solutions for managing municipal domestic solid waste must be economically viable, technically sound, and interpersonally, legally, and environmentally responsible. Cities and authorities face a significant challenge with the issue of managing solid waste. This study assesses household domestic solid waste management and its effects on human health and the environment. An effort has been made in this study to redesign Dera Ghazi Khan's domestic solid waste management system, including analyses and recommendations on waste generation and its effect on health and environment, and transportation routes and provide collection containers to the site. Researchers have presented extensive data on domestic solid waste management practices, including waste collection, recovery, and disposal, with a focus on the waste produced throughout the city. To collect public input and participation in the creation of domestic solid waste management plans for their city, the researchers use in-person interviews and surveys. This study is based on the evaluation of domestic solid waste, which includes waste from homes, businesses, construction sites, slaughterhouses, and hazardous materials.
