Abstract
In many developed and developing nations, managing domestic solid waste is a common and
severe challenge in both urban and rural areas. Collection and disposal of municipal domestic
solid waste are one of the most significant urban environmental issues in many nations today.
Solutions for managing municipal domestic solid waste must be economically viable, technically
sound, and interpersonally, legally, and environmentally responsible. Cities and authorities face a
significant challenge with the issue of managing solid waste.
This study assesses household domestic solid waste management and its effects on human health
and the environment. An effort has been made in this study to redesign Dera Ghazi Khan's
domestic solid waste management system, including analyses and recommendations on waste
generation and its effect on health and environment, and transportation routes and provide
collection containers to the site. Researchers have presented extensive data on domestic solid
waste management practices, including waste collection, recovery, and disposal, with a focus on
the waste produced throughout the city. To collect public input and participation in the creation
of domestic solid waste management plans for their city, the researchers use in-person interviews
and surveys. This study is based on the evaluation of domestic solid waste, which includes waste
from homes, businesses, construction sites, slaughterhouses, and hazardous materials.
