In this thesis report, I have pondered upon providing such a space for people to engage with each other freely, a space where they can come to divert and relax their minds from their daily life hustle. A place where they can learn, interact, be productive and at the same time can relax and connect with nature and their inner self which has been lost due to tough routines, be it a student or a working or non-working adult. A space where they can seek spirituality and combats stigmas without having the fear to be judged.Item Re development of hamlet into urban amenities(UMT,Lahore, 2022) Anosh IqbalRural development is critical to a country's economic, social, and environmental viability. Because global poverty is primarily rural, it is critical for poverty elimination. Poverty has subregional and regional manifestations that extend beyond the urban-rural split. Coordinating rural development activities that contribute to sustainable livelihoods at the global, regional, national, and local levels, as appropriate, is vital, and there is significant value to be achieved. Rural development strategies should take into account the remoteness and potential of rural areas, and offer tailored, unique approaches. (1) In the research region, the geographical distribution pattern of rural development potential is concentrated on the central and southern urban development areas, with a steady decrease toward the periphery. Overall, village development potential is balanced, but differences in advantage and development obstacles are observed across villages in the district, and the four sub-dimensions show significant spatial heterogeneity (2) the 38 administrative villages were divided into four types: core planning area, important planning area, general planning area, and basic control area. (3) Differentiated planning contents and methods for various kinds of locations are utilised to construct well-detailed and clearly targeted village plans to support sustainable rural development, with 13.16 percent, 52.63 percent, 23.68 percent, and 10.53 percent, respectively.Item International cricket stadium(UMT,Lahore, 2022) SUMAIR GHAZANFAR ALISports have become a basic need in modern society. I talk about Pakistan cricket is the most famous game here and the game played by most of the Pakistani is cricket. We have a lot of sports talent in Pakistan but do not have a platform to use this talent. The plan presented in the report is an academy with an international cricket stadium and a guest house in the Islamabad area. This zone of Islamabad is already allocated for cricket ground by CDA (Capital Development Authority). These project’s key features are Cricket Ground and academy and some other sports facilities include (indoor sports complex, restaurants, recreational spaces) which incorporate on a domestic or international level. The cricket academy aims to train players in a moderately possessed environment. The Cricket Hall of Fame will showcase special events through additional digital displays keep and observe the various art forms and uniforms of famous players and the golden history of cricket. Review of cricket grounds literature and case studies has gone a long way in discovering and understanding the tendon spaces’ uses, and functions on the pitch. Design is based on two concepts, one is master-planned and the other built. My master plan will combine cricket stadiums, cricket academies, and guest houses into a charming landscape that will appeal to the public and spectators.Item Gwadar marina complex(UMT,Lahore, 2022) Usama AzizHumans and water have a very strong connection. There is something very special about water. Even thinking of word “water” gives a feeling of calmness and refreshment. I am from Gujrat, a small industrial city located at the bank of River Chenab. My love for water started in my childhood when I used to go to Chenab with my cousin brothers. And that love deepened as I grew up. I used to bunk college with my friends and go to Saaroki nehar (Stream) for swimming and pakora party. I saw sea for the first time when I was about seven. It got stuck in my mind since then. And all this led me to decide what I should design for my thesis. A Marina along beautiful coast of Gwadar. A place where one will have cruising experience, food and entertainment both above and under water. Gwadar is the key City of CPEC Project, and has potential to be the site of my project. CPEC is going to be the gamechanger for Gwadar City and Pakistan. So, this project will favor tourism in Gwadar, that will not only boost local business but also provide an opportunity for boat industry to flourish in Pakistan. Pakistan produces engineers in Bulk, but don’t have industry to engage them. To overcome from this, you need some fresh air and break from your daily life. The best place for this is to spend your time with your family or friends and live near the nature. That’s the best healer in the world. It is the natural physical response of your body and important for you. With this you become more productive. Just like the ‘motor’ after some work it need rest so that it works again with its full power otherwise it became destroyed. Overwork and dull life will lead to nothing. I want to create a space for public where they can enter individual or in a family or a group of friends and spend their time together inside the nature. Interact with other people and communicate with them. It gave positivity and create a life in it. In Lahore less spaces were design where everything was given in one space. Most of them were only parks. Common places for people to go are zoo and park where you don’t have any other activity. If we compare the size and population of the Lahore very few spaces were design for them. The space is sustainable and energy efficient where we used passive techniques that are environment friendly and design it in such a way that the indoor spaces are connected with outdoor spaces. Not sealed the people in one building but multiple so that they travel from one place to another.Item Beach resort and SPA at Kund Malir(UMT,Lahore, 2022) HAIQA CHAUDHRYThe primary aim of this project is to provide a new tourist attraction. My thesis is aimed at the development of a beachside resort. It is basically planning of the residential and recreational spaces along the sea shore and to make it a hub for entertainment and holidays. Due to enormous increase in tourism worldwide; during the last decade of the 20th centuries, the need and desire of resorts have been increased considerably. Such environment friendly practices can be cost efficient, provide marketing opportunities and increase tourism.Item A structure of empathy an animal care facility(UMT,Lahore, 2022) AFRAH BERLASWe as humans have fallen far out of reach with our inner child, the once innocent beings that perceived knowledge and guidance as simple as it came to us. We have become apaths, knowing and unknowingly. Humans were always molded to be empaths instead, but it isn’t mere understanding of these emotions that helps us tackle them. Any human emotion may that be of kindness, care, anger or fear, requires space. Some emotions do not take up full form because they didn’t have enough room to stretch out their limbs. Walking down a road all alone doesn’t feel too lonely when we start noticing that dog sitting at the ledge of the side walk, with ears plopped down, hoping for someone to pet his fluffy head. To build a space where humans can explore their innate tendency to find relation with nature, including our flora and fauna is the base of this project that allows a fresh breath of air to swirl in the hearts of all humankind. This earth and its beings owe us nothing, but it is us humans that owe every bit of our humanity, our sympathy and our empathy to the very beings that comprise of this world. This facility would mimic art and life intertwined with the hopeful eyes of the animals whose life will change with our changed attitude towards them. Learning how to cope with trauma with the help of animals, learning how to be kinder to each other by letting all the oxytocin flow through us, will in the end result in the kind of humans we should aspire to be. By bringing forth ‘A Structure of Empathy’, we in turn bring out the empathy we all have hidden, buried deep inside us.Item Lahore experience center(UMT,Lahore, 2022) Muhammad Umer KhalidThe project aims to come up with a space, where people can come and experience, all the varying cultures and traditions of Lahore city. In addition to that, the main objective of the project is to design a space where people will be offered free interaction with different people all around Pakistan, which will be helpful in the cross-pollination of carrying cultures heritages, architecture, all in one place. An experience center is basically considered as an interactive space or an exhibition center that contains a fully immersive space, where city cultural and heritage architecture can be displayed all under one roof. It tends to highlight the positive elements of the city’s high standards. Because of this, it has able to be eye captivating for the youth, it is a chance for the young people to connect with their roots, Furthermore, it will be helpful in promoting tourism thus it will prove to be revenue-generating as well. People of every age especially the young ones will be given the chance to learn about the diverse range of cultures present in the Lahore city. All of this would be achieved by designing spaces, by walking through which people will be able to enjoy different views and vistas, they’ll be able to explore new things. The city experience platform increases the sense of the experience of the city as a whole.Item Sanctuaries of Cholistan desert(UMT,Lahore, 2022) Abdul RehmanArchitecture is a mirror that reflects the cultures and traditions of an area. Pakistan has different culture and lifestyles. Cholistan is one of the areas which are still unexplored. The rich culture and history of that area along with the spice of festivities is a potential tourism magnet attracting leisurely youngsters to learned timeline of history and archeology. The intend of this thesis is to explore the local culture and traditions of the Cholistan desert along with the indigenous architecture and way of living and explore new possibilities of structure. Cholistan Desert being the area of attraction, building has to reflect local building norms. Rich fort architecture of that area will be explored along with the manipulative techniques used by locals to survive in wilderness of the over powering desert giving the visitor an experience of sandy landscape views without disturbing the natural landscape of desert The thesis will focus on subtraction not addition of any structure above ground it will provide subtracting voids according to the function and user need, light which will allow freedom to subtract voids into natural ground these open voids will open to sky despite being under the natural land and it will control the function of resortItem Redesigning Lahore zoo(UMT,Lahore, 2022) ZYAD SAEEDMy own encounters, and my perception of others. Show that zoos can have a solid effect particularly on youngsters. Being a student of architecture I wanted to design a space where people can communicate with each other and share their business ideas as our youth is very passionate about startups, they would be able to experience and have the environment of co-working that would help to bring awareness and knowledge about business and help them to achieve their goals .It consist a business tower which will have corporate offices and research center and incubator to empower young generation and entrepreneurs to develop their skills and business ideas by providing them live/work and co-working environment. This would be the perfect place where talent can be nurtured and exchange of ideas would be done at good level. This hub would be for common people as well as for global public to explore the business opportunities and develop their innate skills. The incubator and business center are playing important role in educating and inculcating an entrepreneurial culture among people and encouraging them to build startups by providing them facilities, resources, co-working spaces, shared offices etc. It is designed in Lahore finance trade center. Lahore is highly populated city where people from other cities are migrating and settling there. Finance trade center is proposed for business projects such as 5 star hotels, showrooms, museums, corporate offices, business center etc. the reason for designing this here is as this area is surrounded by some prime complexes such as emporium mall, expo center and other upcoming projects which are going to be the essence of this area. Many Universities and hostels where out of city students are living are also near. Which is good because they would not have to change their places and have the business startup opportunity around them. Architectural design is inspired from by co-working spaces .Balanced between art and scienceItem “The boat”, dyeing and finishing unit of textile factory(UMT,Lahore, 2022) Hasnat AsgharTextile means the flexible material which is used to interlock with each other and produced with yarn or thread by spinning and weaving. The thesis topic is the “Processing Unit of Textile in Sundar Industrial Estate” which means that you will learn about the facts and concepts and also how cloth is processed after coming from the manufacturing unit of textile. Basically, processing unit defined as the factory unit in which fabric gets dyed, print and come to its final stage in terms of fall of cloth and smoothness of cloth through different machines and procedures. The textile machines what we have are taken from local industries but still it produced the quality clothes. The branded industries, such as; Sapphire, Nishat, Style, Sitara and Ibrahim; have the high-quality machines and produced more efficient quality of cloth which they will export to other countries. In addition, the new concept of textile museum, I added it in the site area of textile factory from where students, professionals and labor get aware of transformation of clothes and clothing. Also, clients or customers will get facilitate from the display gallery of museum, from where they will get aware about the factory’s updated colors and style of cloth.Item Information and technology park(UMT,Lahore, 2022) Muhammad JunaidInformation technology has fundamentally altered the way we live and the levels of living we may expect. Society is also being transformed by the rapid spread of digital technology. People in emerging economies have a lot to look forward to as a result of rapid technical and economic changes. Developing countries, such as Pakistan, require information on infrastructure development, access to social services, production organization, and creating an investor-friendly environment. Growing the economy requires a certain level of knowledge. For a company to grow, more information must be given. As a result, it functions as a significant enabler in this regard. This report on IT Park includes the reasons for choosing as a thesis project, its feasibility and scope in Pakistan that’s why it is needed. It is a complex with its facilities from production to education and recreation. The exhibition and convention center is where local and international buyers meet. Right now, Pakistan has two of these facilities. This exhibition and convention center is special for industrial exhibitions. It is necessary to look at different exhibition and convention center over all world . So then i did decide exhibition and convention center as my thesis topic in Sialkot. Sialkot is top famous industrial city of Pakistan. Sialkot is basically populous city with respect to there huge sports industries and these industries are export and produce sports products for so many years. So, with help of my exhibition and convention center they have establish their major products in front all over the world.Item Mix used commercial < residenctial tower(UMT,Lahore, 2022) HANNAN SAEEDIn my thesis design project I am going to design mixed use structure. That is based on bio climatic hanging garden. Building is design by considering the techniques and the sustainable material. For the energy efficient solar panel used to utilize the solar energy into electricity. Meanwhile we are aware about the daily change in climate due to the increase of carbon emission. Greenhouse effect rapidly increased. Now we are deciding to design structure sustainably, self efficient and zero carbon building. We have to build structure with the cooperation of green architecture. Green architecture can restore over built up environment by the use of plant and trees. This family can only produce oxygen or reduce carbon. This is the only source who may clam the environment and the feed of different habitat. We have to design climate and environment friendly building that reduce carbon emission on other hand make the building dust less. We have more benefit from this structure. We can produce vegetable at low scale on terraces or balconies.
