Item Evaluating the effectiveness of promotion Linked training (plt) at dsd(UMT.Lahore, 2022) SAIMA ASHRAFThe purpose of this research study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the promotion linked training (PLT) which aims at the professional development of the primary and secondary teachers in Punjab, Pakistan, conducted by the training institute known as Directorate of Staff Development (DSD). In this regard, the Kirkpatrick’s model of training evaluation has been used and the training effectiveness has been determined. Moreover, the importance of the quality of teachers was discussed in the light of past research studies along with its relation with the professional development. Afterwards, the concept of professional development and its significance was discussed. The need of training for their professional growth was also discussed in the light of past research studies. Current research study employs a mix method approach as a research methodology which is the combination of both quantitative and qualitative data. In this regard, three data collection instruments were used i.e. questionnaire survey, semi-structured interviews and class room observations. The research site in this research study was DSD training center. The data was analyzed using the SPSS software and tests like Pearson correlation, regression and ANOVA were performed. The research findings indicated that, the promotion linked training conducted at DSD is effective in terms of enhancing the professional skills, performance and learning of the trainees.Item Student engagement and satisfaction in online learning during covid-19 pandemic(UMT.Lahore, 2022) AMNA ASKARIThe occurrence of coronavirus disease also known as COVID-19, has become a global pandemic since March 2020. According to UNESCO, schools are closed in more than 100 countries due to a public health emergency, including Pakistan. The study is designed for the investigation of E-Leadership on student engagement and satisfaction in online learning during the COVID-19 Pandemic in the private schools of Lahore, Pakistan. This study has been carried out to find out the effects of online education on student engagement during school lockdown when traditional face-to-face learning could not happen for a very long period of time. Such uncertainty and emergency situation has left us all into a sudden shift of online education and to embrace technology that has been never into the practice in a developing country like Pakistan. This study has been steered through a survey design by collecting data in 2020-21 using a questionnaire by taking the sample of 48 schools which further characterized into 950 respondents (students) of O-level/ Matriculation and 48 school leaders/ principals. For verifying the hypothesis, Pearson correlation analysis method and regression analysis was used along with Andrew Hayes Model 1 and Model 4 to access the role of E-Leadership both as a Mediator and Moderator. The study results proved that E-Leadership plays a vital role for ensuring the engagement of the students in online education during the COVID-19 Pandemic. On these basis, it has been suggested that leaders must possess relevant knowledge and expertise to exhibit the elements of E-Leadership in order to implement the necessary plan of action at his/ her institution for an effective online learning experience.Item Impact of e-service quality on students’ satisfaction. Moderating role of e-leadership(UMT.Lahore, 2022) Syeda Fariha NaqviThis research was intended to check the impact of e-service quality on satisfaction among university students by keeping moderating role of e-leadership. Design/Methodology/Approach-Survey method was carried and adopted tools were used to collect data among 430 students from different students of universities of Lahore. All questions were rated on a Likert scale of five points (1= strongly disagree and 5=strongly agree). Sampling technique was Simple random sampling in my research work. Time Horizon was cross-sectional as there was time constrain. Regression analysis was used to see the significant relationship between e-service quality among satisfaction of students. In conclusion, the following results are drawn that there is a little relationship between e-service quality and students’ satisfaction but there is no moderating role of e-leadership among satisfaction of students.
