The direct costs include hiring new employees, training to the new employees, advertising and indirect costs refer to product/service quality, employee morale, satisfaction and organizational commitment. Turnover also adds the price of training new employees and it also incurs the loss of intellectual capital of the organization, which in turn affects the knowledge management process. Current study involves a diagnostic study intending to identify and apprehend the key motives behind ineffective performance appraisal system at Sapphire Textile Mill Limited using mixed method approach that is executing both quantitative and qualitative techniques research to appropriately determine the factors responsible for unproductive Performance Appraisal System at the company. Since employees feel discriminated in terms of their performance evaluation and compensation in accordance with their appraisal results. SMTL currently employs rating scale method for performance appraisal of the employees and aims to improve the current system. This research actively analyzes multiple issues that can be linked as factors behind the ineffectiveness of performance appraisal system at the company. It has helped us improve the current system of SMTL and assist in enhancing the effectiveness of the company through demonstrating fair and unbiased evaluation of employee performance through the provision of an action plan in the form of practical recommendations to the human resource management department of the company.Item A DIAGNOSTIC STUDY OF SALARY PACKAGE AT POWER INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY COMPANY(UMT,LAHORE, 2018) Zainab Dilawer Momina Waqar Bilal AslamSalary package is a way to compensate employee for their hard work. After detailed review and analysis of the documents we have diagnose the current Pay Package of PITC according to the Government Budget Notification 2017. We conduct research work to revise the existing salary package for the efficient employee and attract new talent. We also focus to introduce a cost effective compensation plan for Power Information Technology Company. Organizational Diagnosis conducted through documentary evidence, highlighted the unaligned organizational structure and identified gap for performance appraisal system. We used inductive approach until the saturation was complete.it indicate that our research methodology is qualitative. After that we put the data on Nvivo for finding the relevant factors. We came to know that there is lacked of training need analysis. Proper training according to their need is really important for them. Pharma market this importance reflects the tremendous financial and other costs, often linked with company‟s performance Pharma implemented major training program to build the capacity of their staff and enhances the individual skills set but according to index, training need analysis is play very important role in company.
