The venture is intended to limit punishment for modern by utilizing programmed power factor Correction gadget. Power factor is characterized as the proportion of genuine energy to clear power. It can be scientifically spoken to as kW/kVA. where the numerator is the dynamic (genuine) control and the denominator is the (dynamic + receptive) clear power. Receptive power is the non-working force created by the attractive and inductive burdens, to produce attractive flux. The expansion in receptive power expands the evident power, so the power factor additionally diminishes. In this framework the time slack between the zero voltage heartbeat and zero current heartbeat created by zero intersection identifier circuits. Arduino (mega 2560) use to play out all operation in the framework. Supervisory control and information allegation (SCADA) application use for consequently turn ON and OFF mechanical load and screen all parameters of the heap and supply area. The program assumes control to impel proper number of thyristor from its yield to bring shunt capacitors into the heap circuit to get the power factor till it comes to close solidarity. Facilitate the venture is upgraded by utilizing thyristor control switches rather than hand-off control to maintain a strategic distance from contact setting regularly experienced by exchanging of capacitors because of high in surge current. The system checks the operating parameters of the appliance like current and feedbacks it. The system is designed such that it is able to detect the difference in the current values of primary and secondary sides of the electrical equipment and isolate the appliance from the line in case of fault. Zone of differential protection is defined for the electrical equipment. If a fault occurs in the zone the differential protection, it operates the relays isolating the electrical equipment from the healthy system. This isolation process is to ensure that the electrical equipment is safe from any of these differences in current values that can make it to overheat and thus getting it damaged. A Hall Effect current sensor is used in this project as the interfacing instrument between the electrical equipment and the Arduino microcontroller. A relay is used as tripping device to isolate the electrical equipment from the healthy system in case of fault. An LCD is used to show system current readings and indicate cases of differential fault. All these peripheral devices depend on the microcontroller to make them operate. Some of the tools used in this project include Arduino IDE programming software used to write the program for the microcontroller. Proteus simulation software is used to test whether the design works appropriately before its implementation on hardware.Item Autonomous robotic cleaner for solar panels(UMT.Lahore, 2017) Muhammad Saad Sohail; Shahroz Malik; Hassan Ali; Muhammad Abdul RehmanSustainable power source is a vitality that is gathered from inexhaustible assets, which are normally recharged on a human timescale, for example, daylight, wind, rain, tides, waves, and geothermal warmth. That is 2000 time larger then necessities of human being are onto ground. However we aren’t using th0se possessions of solar rays suitably. As a result we face difficulty of lack of power on globe. We have used those possessions to used solar rays and renovate it in to electric power for getting more energy. Most of solar plates in world are established. That’s why they cannot travel within progress of sun and they cannot came at the angel of 90 degree to sun every time. As a result we cannot achieve most rays of light from sun. Output energy created via higher application of sun light and photo voltaic system is straightforwardly associated to sum of sun rays power required by systems and it’s thus essential to follow sun location within larger degree of exactness. To solve problem we have apply sun trackers that travel with move ment of sun. When sun move our plates might move with angel of 90 degre to Sun. So solar plates will got greatest rays through solar rays. So as a consequence we could achieve highest rays through sun and changes it in to electrical power. Thus we c0uld solve issue of loss of power onto earth.Item Final year project report Rfid student attendance system(UMT.Lahore, 2017) M.Ibtisam.ur. Rehman; Ghulam Murtaza; Wasif Shehzad; Faisal FareedThe current process of collecting student’s attendance information is mostly manual. This project attempts to propose a more efficient Information Communication Technology (ICT) based process. The proposed design makes use of radio frequency (RF) as a means of communication between the Attendant Management Data Server (AMDS) and the RFID Card Readers (RCR) situated in the various classrooms or lecture halls. The main purpose of RFID technology is to identify an object or a person through a tag attached to it. The identification tag contains the data stored in its memory. Each tag contains that information in the form of code, which differentiates that object from all other objects. The biggest motivation to do this project is to archive student attendances, save time of the instructor and allow only authorized students to sit in the class. When a student uses his/her RFID card, the status of the student in the system is updated and overall percentage of classes attended in that course is stored in the database and can be retrieved at any time by administration. The percentage of the course is determined by the logic that if overall time of 3 credit hour class is 30 hours then the student must be available in the class for 22.5 hour to fulfill 75 percent of total attendance requirement, otherwise he will be marked “Short Attendance or SA”. An early warning can also be initiated to intimate student about his current presence in the course. The proposed design provides interfaces for Administrators and the various stakeholders of the Student Attendant Management Information System (SAMIS). The implementation of this system will enhance both the attendance taking process and overall management of the attendance information. The system performance is demonstrated through hardware and software development.Item Heart rate measuring device using index finger(UMT.Lahore, 2017) Sheraz Ali; Hamza Khalid; Hashaam Rafiq; Arsalan MukhtarThis report describes the innovation of heart rate measuring device based on Arduino.
