    “Effects of stereotypical representation in Pakistani dramas on the behavior of youth in Lahore.”

    Stereotyping is basically the generalizations that are the personal observations or the characteristics of the group or gender. In this Study the research objectives are to assess the effect of stereotypes representation of gender on the concept self-image of youth. And to investigate the how perceived self-image of youth leads to behavioral changes. This research will give new thinking in the academic field. As the study purposes is to investigate the effects of stereotypical portrayals of males and females on the behavior of youth, we considered “the uses and gratification theory” because it is certainly appropriate to present the research widely. The random sampling procedure is implemented in order to collect responses from the people. The questionnaire is expecting to receive at least 130 responses. The data collected from this sample is accurate. With this research we perform regression analysis since it a dependable way of discovering which factors have influence on a subject of interest. The method of completing a regression enables us to reliably identify which elements contribute significantly, which ones may be overlooked, and how certain variables influence one another. The findings of the moderate analysis revealed that stereotypes representing gender on the notion of youth self-image regulate the link between media generated stereotypes and young attitudes about self-image, which leads to behavioural changes. Additionally, the negative impact of media-generated stereotypes has been compounded as a result of such behavioural and social variables. The findings supported previous study that suggested stereotypes in media material may engage instinctively and have a detrimental influence owing to one's sociocultural vulnerabilities.

    STAIN-FULL STEEL Understanding symbolic violence in the social adjustment of divorced Pakistani women

    The social adjustment of divorced women in Pakistan accounts for a lot of factors that altogether participate in the decision concerning their adjustment. This research was mainly focused on how symbolic violence causes hindrance in the social adjustment of divorced Pakistani women. The theoretical concept of (Bourdieu’s theory of symbolic violence) was applied for the identification of symbolic violence. A total of 5 divorced Pakistani women were selected using purposive sampling. Semi-structured in-depth interviews following IPA (Interpretive Phenomenological Approach) were used for analysis purposes to understand participants lived experiences. The results indicated how women’s later adjustments were controlled by symbolic violence. The creation of the ‘Natural world’ per their subjective reality was so indestructible that they lost the vision of identifying such boundaries of oppression and rather dealt via compromising or misapprehending.

    Representation of domestic violence in Pakistani Dramas; Perceptions and experiences among women

    The study examined the experiences and perceptions of women regarding the representation of domestic violence in Pakistan dramas. Cultivation theory was used as the theoretical framework. For conducting this research, qualitative methods were used. The researchers used thematic analysis and collected the data using in-depth interviews with the sample that consisted of 10 educated housewives to understand the views of women about the effects of these dramas on their thinking pattern. Therefore, the findings concluded that the representation of domestic violence dramas has negative effects on women's thinking patterns as well as such kinds of dramas promote toxic relationships and normalize domestic violence.

    The Effects of Drugs on Human Health

    Drug abuse is a problem which is present since the start of human life on earth. Whenever a new survey is conducted regarding the incidence and prevalence of drug abuse it has become a known fact that there would be an increase seen. While interpreting results for peer influence and substance abuse, our hypothesis no 2 stood confirmed. Virtually peers and family drug abusers also sharing the same border. Whereas strong relationship was found in drug abuse to get comfort from worries and hospitalization due to drug abuse. Peer influence in our research remains the strongest factor contributing towards drug abuse amongst university students of Lahore. When exploring the outcomes of family drug abuse variable, maximum respondents agreed to the statement.

    Exploring Student Perspectives on Women's Portrayal in Pakistani Dramas

    Television wields a substantial influence on our daily lives, captivating a global viewership of over 5.36 billion individuals. People make perceptions about the characters and consider it real. This qualitative research explored the perception of students, male and female about the TV dramas and the image of women created by these dramas in the minds of the viewers This research employs a qualitative methodology with an interpretive approach. The investigation involved conducting in-depth interviews with 15 students, all had affiliations with the University of Management and Technology, a private academic institution. The sample is consisted of nine female students and six male students. Although participants expressed appreciation for the presence of resilient female characters, they concurrently recognized a perceptible chasm between these idealized portrayals and the real-world challenges encountered by women in Pakistan. Pertinent concerns were articulated regarding the perpetuation of regressive gender norms and the limited roles allocated to women in dramatic productions.
