Everyone is traveling from one point to another for the sake of business, work, job, wandering, tourism and study or trading. When they travel, they need to choose any airline to go their destination. Different airlines offer different networks and routes based on their schedules. Airlines operate two types of network models. 1) Hub and spoke 2) Point to point. These are two systems on which airlines operate. Mostly, legacy airlines or flag carriers operate flights on hub and spoke system and Low-Cost Carriers operate point to point flights. As there are many aircrafts having own features like for long haul flights mostly airlines use Boeing 777, Boeing 747, Airbus 380 and for short haul flights aircraft like Airbus 310, Airbus 320. For long haul flights wide body aircrafts like Airbus 350, Airbus 380 are most preferable by airlines and for short haul mostly narrow body like Airbus 319, Airbus 321. As aviation industry is one of the most emerging industry in the world and different new airlines are coming day by day to compete existing airlines. Different airlines operate on preferable network model either they use hub & spoke or point to point. These both network models having negative point as well as positive points.
