Item WILDLIFE IS A HAZARD IN AVIATION AND WHAT ARE ITS MITIGATION STRATEGIES & TECHNIQUES(UMT, Lahore, 2019) ANAM SHABBIR and BILAL AHMEDWildlife mitigation in aviation is a concern that has been provoked since 1905 when the very first aircraft flew (discovered by the Wright brothers). Since that time this issue is under consideration and the process to discover its mitigation strategies has been going on. A lot of safety measures have been designed to control this hazard. But because of the rapid growth of aviation the rate of air traffic is increased. So, more aircrafts, more flights, the level of hazard has also been augmented. It’s becoming hard for these issues to be controlled. This report summarizes the strategies and techniques to mitigate the wildlife strike hazard. By Implementation of these strategies and techniques the wildlife hazard can be resolved at possible level. This report includes a case study of wildlife strike rate at Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore.
