THE IMPACT OF GREEN OPERATIONS IN THE AIRLINE CABIN WASTE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

The importance of green approach can be recognised by looking onto the environmental issue caused by Air travel. With the increase in travel demand waste which is produced while making the final product to serve in airline cabin is also increasing and same happens when the cabin waste is deplaned. The aim of this study is to examine the importance of green operation and sustainable environment that how these two variables can be manipulated in order to get the change in airline cabin waste. Purpose of going green is to use the products that have no negative impact on the environment and public health. Survey was conducted with the sample size of 110 but due to pandemic caused by COVID-19, 57 responses were received through online survey platform “Google Forms” on to which analysis were being performed. The research came up with the result that green operation and sustainable environment have a positive impact on airline cabin waste. The results show that chain of green operation and sustainable environment within an organisation is necessary in order to minimize waste produced for making final product for airline cabin and a green operation chain is required when waste is deplaned.
