Abstract
Academic sector is under research in different areas to improve the student academic performance because the better academic performance of the students provides the base to all sectors to excel in the future. The technological development more increases the importance of the TVET (Technical Vocational Education and Training) to meet the requirement of the fast pace technological development in the society. The technical colleges have a prime responsibility to provide the technical education. Therefore it is important to improve the student academic performance in the technical colleges to provide the best skills workforce to the industries.
This research analyzes the application of the quality assurance measures in the technical colleges and evaluates their impact on the student performance. This study is based on the quantitative research methodology. The questionnaire is developed on TEVTA (Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority) academic audit manual items and 4 Public technical colleges and 4 private colleges of Lahore are selected to collect the data. The data is collected from teacher's total number of 60 respondents from selected 8 colleges.
The regression analysis is performed in this study to analyze the impact of the quality assurance measures on the student performance in technical colleges. The quality assurance is independent variable and student performance is dependent variable in this study. These findings are in-line with the existing research that quality assurance positively impacts the performance
