Abstract
Frequency synthesizers are essential part of communication and digital equipment. Frequency Synthesizer such as our proposed one is very cost effective. Frequency synthesizers are electronic devices that take a single reference frequency and can generate a number of output carriers of same quality as the reference frequency defined by the control word.In this work we will generate as output frequency signals, the technique is basically digital. However unlike standard DDFS technique the range of output frequencies exceed Nquist level i.e. F clk/2 .
Basic idea is to use a single frequency clock but with multiple phases. A specially designed VCO is required but we have used ring counter to generate multiple clocks of same frequency each with different phase. In short implemented DFS has very wide bandwidth and output frequency is much greater than system clock.
