Abstract
The present study investigates the relationship between religious fundamentalism, terrorism and dark triad in adults. It was hypothesized that religious fundamentalism is likely to be positively linked with the dark triad and support for acts of terrorism. Further, it was hypothesized that religious fundamentalism is a predictor of support for acts of terrorism. The measures included 160 males(Jail=80, community=80) aged between 18-35 years were taken from PMAS Arid and agricultural university, Rawalpindi and Gujrat Jail. Self report measures were used to assess the variables. Support for Acts (Zora & Sukabdi, 2014), Duke University Religion Index(Koenig& Bussing, 2014), Islamic Fundamentalism Scale(Zora & Sukabsi, 2014), Belief in Establishing Islam Peacefully(Zora and Sukabdi), Dirty Dozen Dark Triad Scale(Jonason & Webster,2010) and The Psychopathic and Narcissistic Cognitive Distortions Questionnaire (Torres, 2002) were used. The correlation analysis revealed that a significant negative association was observed between establishing Islam peacefully and narcissism. Islamic fundamentalism and Machiavellianism were also negatively, significantly associated.
