dc.description.abstractThe current study aims to explore the influence of multiculturalism on the academic achievements of Baloch students. In this regard, the relationships and impacts of communication barriers on social integration were studied in detail. The multiculturalism influence upon the social bondage and weak social bondage creates academic barriers for the ethnic students (Baloch). It is creating a challenge for the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to manage the diversity of students by removing all academic barriers and encouraging the full participation of ethnic students with the mainstream/native students. Language and communication style varies from culture to culture. The unclear communication impacts on the academic achievements and become the cause of academic barriers. The diversity of multiculturalism also influence on social integration of ethnic and native students. The data was collected from eight Baloch students through in-depth interviews using purposeful sampling. Students studying the subject of Social Sciences were included in the study. The findings can be beneficial for policy makers and HEIs to develop an indigenous inclusive education policy to reap the benefits of the increasing multiculturalism in the academic institutions of Pakistan.en_US
