Abstract
Automation has always been debated over with contradicting views regarding its implementation, irrespective of the field applied to. The urging factor which heightens with the implementation of automation is the phenomenon of standardization, and that is what firms and organizations strive so hard to achieve. The network is one of those undeniable needs essential for any business, no matter their scale, small or large. Networks manage the technological need of any firm and provide effective communication, necessary for their operational tasks. The majority of the implementation of security standards and aspects in networks is manual and traditional for most organizations. Manual and traditional implementations are the ones that lack standardization, are slow, cost-intensive, and complex and require expertise at frequent times. Day to day evolving technologies demands new means for implementations of security standards and aspects in the networking domain. Automation of these manual security standards and aspects may be one of the revolutionary ideas and can pave path for the future. This research aims to develop a module in a simulated environment using GNS3 with binding internationally recognized security standards and aspects advised by Cisco and IETF. This research experiments, to conclude the impact of automation of security standards in the network domain and evaluates them with traditional case scenarios.
