Abstract
The study examined the relationship among the psychopathic traits, self-concept and mental health problems in police officers. the study ws carried out in series of phase. in the first phase, the phenoomenology of psychopathy and chracteristics of self-concept from 15 policemen. after piolt study, the final list of Psychopathic Trait Scale , Self-concept Scale , Depression Anxiety Stress Scales (DASS-21) and a demogrphic form was given to a sample of (N=180) police officers Factor analysis of Psychopathic Traits Scale generated three subscales i.e. Dominance, Manipulation and Egocentrism.The results showed that psychopathic traits were positively related to mental health problems i.e. Depression, Anxiety and Stress in police officers. Psychopathic traits i.e. Dominance and Manipulation were positively predicting mental health problems in police officers. Lastly, psychopathic traits, self-concept and mental health problems showed significant differences among ranks of police officers.
