dc.description.abstractThe current study aim to investigate the relationship between music engagement and psychosocial wellbeing intrans gender. It was hypothesized that, there is likely to be a positive relationship between music engagement and psycho-social wellbeing in transgender people. Cross sectional research design were employed. Urdu versions of Uses of Music Inventory Chamorro-Premuzic & Furnham, (2007), and Mental Health Continuum-Short Form MHC-SF(Keyes et al., 2008) were used. The100 transgender community with age range 20-55 years were selected by using non-probability convenient sampling. Data was collected from the Fountain House and different areas of Lahore. The results of Pearson product moment correlation analysis revealed that emotional use of music was found to be significant with emotional, social and psychosocial wellbeing. Whereas, cognitive use of music was found to be significant with social and psychological wellbeing. Whereas hierarchical multiple linear regression analysis revealed that there were emotional use of music was found to significant positive predictor of emotional wellbeing. Moreover cognitive use of music was found to be significant with social and psychological wellbeing with positive indicators. The study was widening the knowledge about the psychosocial wellbeing through music and its beneficial effects of neglected population like transgender community.en_US
