Abstract
The proposal will cover the conceptual idea of the designer’s work, which is inspired by the
Mughal miniature paintings, that can be extracted through the manuscripts written in the
Mughal era. The Mughal era is regarded as the subcontinent's "Golden Age." It is the least
explored passage during the Mughals' existence, despite being magnificent and incredibly
dazzling. This paper will talk about the impact of Mughal magnificence in the realms of our
tradition and culture, from this point of view, it will throw light on how it has inspired fashion.
Although the focus will mainly be upon the female fashion and clothing of the Mughal era, but
one can also derive its inspiration from the overall aura of the miniature painting. As my thesis
topic I will be transitioning between the Mughal era, feminine clothing towards the modern era
but with modern cuts that are now used in fashion for such overalls
