Abstract
This research explored the effect of transformational leadership on workers’ food
hygiene behaviors mediated by organizational climate among the restaurants and
cafes’ workers in Lahore and Sheikhupura, Pakistan. In this research, 250
questionnaires were given to the workers, and 204 valid questionnaires were received,
with a return rate of 81.6%. The results of this study supported that transformational
leadership has a significant positive effect on workers’ food hygiene behaviors.
Organizational climate partially mediates the relationship between transformational
leadership and food hygiene behaviors among the workers. The findings of this
research offer a unique lens through which the mediating role of organizational
climate in the relationship between transformational leadership and workers’ hygiene
behaviors can be better understood. Theoretical and practical implications and
directions for further research in the future are also described.
