A survey of the instructional strategies used for teaching arts and drawing to students with hearing impairment at primary level

Abstract
The present study was conducted to explore the instructional strategies used for teaching arts and drawing to students with hearing impairment at primary level. The purpose of this was to explore that what kind of visual art strategies teachers used and how effective they are for hearing impaired students. For the present study researcher used quantitative approach. Researcher collected a data from 69 participants. The sample comprised of art teachers who were working in special education schools of Lahore. For the data collection researcher used a self-administered questionnaire comprised of 19 questions. After the data collection, data was analysed by using SPSS (statistical package for social sciences), version 22. However, for demographic depiction and for all question’s researcher used descriptive statistics. The outcomes generally revealed that female teachers are more prone to use effective strategies and pre prepared lessons while male teachers are better in managing classroom environment. The results of questions showed that visual art is an effective strategy for students with hearing impairment. Teachers engaged them, taught and motivate so that they can also work on their ideas.
