| dc.description.abstract | The major objective of the research was to investigate the perception of teacher about Allama Iqbal as a character builder at secondary level. This study was descriptive in nature. It was not possible for the researcher to collect the required information from all the teaching staff so only a sample of 100 teachers was taken for the purpose of data collection.The researcher selected four govt. and private schools through convenient sampling technique in district Faisalabad as a sample.There were 32 male and 68 female teachers. Age of teachers was from 20 to 50, there education was from matriculation to M.Phil. Simple convenient sampling technique was used to select the sample. A structured questionnaire containing 26 items for the teaching staff was designed for the collection of data for study. All the questions were close endedat five point likert scale. The opinionsand perception of teachers were analyzed through SPSS. Mean and Standard Deviation were calculated. A large number of the respondents were agreed with the statement that Iqbal was the greatest personality character builder the Muslim world produced during the last thousand years. Majority of the teachers were agreed with the statement that innovative techniques promote parental choice in curriculums about Allama Iqbal. They also agreed with the statement that Iqbal was one of those natural forces that shape the destiny of mankind. Government should promote Allama Iqbal as a character builder; strong policy making and implementation and should launch a campaign in favor of Allama Iqbal as a character builder. Private sector should be encouraged to participate in workshops about Allama Iqbal as a character builder. | en_US |
