Abstract
Intolerance against ethnic minority students has been prevailing in public sector universities of Pakistan. The reasons behind intolerance against ethnic minorities and consequences/challenges faced by ethnic minorities because of intolerance have been explored through this research. Existing literature related to topic has been explored. There has been a gap founded in literature as this phenomenon of intolerance against ethnic minority students has to be studied in Pakistan. This study is qualitative as the phenomenon of intolerance has been explored in detail. Phenomenology is used to examine the phenomenon of intolerance. Purposive sampling is used to collect sample. Pashtun students were interviewed as the intolerance against them has been seen in a leading public sector university of Lahore. Results have shown the reasons of intolerance and the challenges of ethnic minorities as interviewed by participants. Results have been discussed and recommendations have been given for future researches.
