| dc.description.abstract | In Pakistani society, educational system is not up to date and teachers are following same old methods of teaching which were in practices decades before. If students do not meet expectations of teachers and parents they are treated as dull and non brilliant students have been subject to verbal and physical punishment of teachers and parents. It is not surprising that their parents and teachers take them as an obtuse. Historically, some private schools have claimed to have distinctive missions, to treat their students according to their physiological needs. Whereas in most of government owned school this disability is bewildered with ineptness especially when compared with private schools. (Clark, 1970; Kuh, Schuh, Whitt, & Associates, 1991; Townsend, Newell, & Wiese, 1992). Dyscalculia students also tend to be located in rural and less privileged schools. It has been observed that the effects of dyscalculia on the student's life have a major and long lasting impact on a child's life. Most parents consider their children incompetent and they perplex this inability of mathematical deficiency with lack of interest in studies. Teachers also do not understand the genuine problem of their students and take it as lack of interest in studies. They start giving punishments to the students to make them learn their lessons. | en_US |
