Abstract
This report details the creation of a 2-Dimensional Router Head Placement System
specifically for the digital marking of coordinates and path definitions for pen plotting.
The system is designed to improve the efficiency and accuracy of plotting through the
use of advanced routing and head placement. The prototype employs microcontroller
stepper motors to provide real-time path adjustments, ensuring that the user-defined
path output is reproduced. The report details the design approach, anticipated
performance indicators, and the use of the system in the education and manufacturing
sectors. The primary aim of this project is to provide the feasibility of a digitally
controlled pen plotter which significantly reduces the operational cost with improved
output quality.
