Abstract
The Flight Data Recorder (FDR) and Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR), commonly known as "Black Boxes," have been constructed to actual size specifications for educational and demonstration purposes at the Institute of Aviation Studies, UMT. These critical aviation safety devices record vital flight parameters and cockpit audio conversations, providing invaluable data for accident investigation and flight safety analysis. This project aims to create authentic replicas that demonstrate the construction, functionality, and importance of these life-saving devices in modern aviation. The replicas are built according to international standards set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and comply with Technical Standard Order (TSO) specifications. The constructed models serve as permanent educational assets for faculty and students to understand the critical role of flight recorders in aviation safety and accident investigation proceduresThe limited accessibility to operational aircraft hangars due to safety, regulatory and logistical constraints. To overcome this problem, this model aims to offer a practical alternative within a classroom environment.
