This project presents the design, development, and experimental testing of a compact thermoelectric air-cooling system utilizing TEC1-12706 Peltier modules. The cooling chamber was constructed using plywood, internally insulated with dapron foam and lined with aluminum foil to minimize heat gain. A hybrid cooling mechanism was employed on the hot side, combining a water block and air-cooled fins for efficient heat dissipation. To evaluate system performance, two sets of tests were conducted: one indoors under controlled room conditions and one outdoors under direct sunlight. In indoor testing we achieve a maximum temperature drop of 20.4 degree in 10 minutes. While in outdoor we achieve a temperature drop of 10 degree this is because due to sunlight contact the initial temperature is very high around 60 degrees. The results of this study show the importance of insulation, sealing, and environmental conditions in thermoelectric system performance. This system is best for eco-friendly and portable cooling applications.
