Relationship between types of social media usage, personalit traits, and multiple intelligences among higher education students

Abstract
Social media has become an integral part of our daily life. It is also widely used for educational purposes. The aim of this study was to find out association between personality traits, multiple intelligence and type of social media for learning. Quantitative research approach was used in this study. The population of the study included students of higher education programs enrolled in universities based in Lahore, Pakistan. The sample comprised of 320 respondents. Data were analyzed through descriptive and inferential statistics. Male and female both agreed that they can use social media for their educational development. It was concluded that there was positive relationship in between different types of social media for learning, multiple intelligences and different personality traits. This study would be useful for teachers to devise teaching strategies for students according to their personality traits through different types of social media. Future studies related to this research framework may be conducted at different levels of education with different research methods.
