Abstract
Miscommunication plays an important role in occurrence of incidents not only in
air but on ground as well. According to the research not in aviation industry almost
in all sectors most of the time carelessness factor involves due to which incident
or accidents occurs and consequences are worse.
Miscommunication in aviation remains a serious threat to safety. Factors such as
pilot’s workload, quality of audio signal, accent of pilot or controller, English
language proficiency of operator, and failure to use standard terminology are all
thought to contribute to communication errors. Miscommunication is defined as
a lack of understanding (or misunderstanding), non-understanding or
misinterpretation of messages in communication. The purpose of this study is to
analyze the factor which are becoming hurdles in safe operation on ground.
Sometime ground staff is busy in different activities due to which the incident on
ground may occur. The other factor which is also plays an important role in
incident is the improper training of the ground staff, Like the staff member have
very little knowledge regarding the usage of Tug-master and Ambo-lifter. The
terminologies and phrases which are necessary on ground are also plays a vital
role in minimization of accidents. These terminologies and phrases are based on
international standards which should be followed by all ground handling
operators. So, that there is a minimum chance of occurrence of incidents on apron
or on taxiway. The proper maintenance of vehicles which are necessary on
ground handling operation should be done by the operators so that any future
mishap will not occur
