Abstract
EDUNET is an educational network for the institutes and students of Pakistan. It’s a web based system so it can easily be launched on a world wide web and all people of world including students of Pakistan can use it as they can use any other web based system or simple website.
This system provides the facilities to the student to search and visit institutes that are located in Pakistan. Usually when a student tends to take admission in any institute, he has to search the details of all institutes by going through the contents of their websites and each website has different format so he may have to spend several hours to find what he needs. Institute Portal provide all the necessary information in the simple format on a single page specially what the students usually look for before getting the admission in any institute. It also provides powerful searching so the students can search through all of the institutes.
Students can register to the EDUNET for free and satisfy their educational needs with the
variety of tools. Forum is one of the best of all. Students can participate in interesting discussions in the forums that will help to increase their knowledge and solve their problems. Forums in the EDUNET are categorized on the bases of majors so students can find their appropriate forum very easily.
Still couldn’t get satisfied? EDUNET provides you the facility to chat with faculty members of many Institutes of Pakistan. Whenever you find them online you can simply open a chat window and go live. Also, faculty members are provided with a GUI desktop application which is easy to use and let them chat with large number of students at a time.
Students can communicate using Friends network a very helpful facility that let a student to create his friend’s list and communicate with them using text messages. EDUNET let
you search and browse the students and then you can add any of them in your friend’s list.
EDUNET tries to provide the environment where students can get help from many
resources. This also helps the students to increase the knowledge and share their creative experience with faculty members and other students.
