The adoption and implementation of sustainable construction is crucial for preventing environmental degradation and promoting long-term economic growth. However, in Pakistan, the construction industry faces significant barriers that hinder this transition. This study investigates the impact of economic, technological, and regulatory barriers on the adoption & implementation of sustainable construction and explores their subsequent effects on economic viability. A quantitative research design was employed, collecting data from industry professionals using questionnaires through online survey. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, simple and hierarchical regression to quantify the strength and direction of relationships between variables. The findings reveal that among all barriers regulatory and institutional barriers have the most significant negative impact on sustainable construction adoption, followed by technological and economic barriers. Regression results indicate that as companies overcome these barriers, the adoption of sustainable practices increases, leading to enhanced financial feasibility over time. This research provides useful insights for policy makers and industry professionals. Improving regulations, providing financial support, and making technology more accessible can help remove these barriers. The study also confirms that sustainable construction is not just good for the environment, it can also be profitable when supported with the right policies and resources.
